  1. Its not that complicated my dude. This is literally the rp equivalent of method actors going too far and thats why it turns toxic. You were just saying and dismissing why that suggestion wasn't implemented as "the majority don't want this super good suggestion so they all must be wrong because all good suggestions get turned away!" Its more coding work for something only a small niche community wants ontop of all the other shit they're currently doing. But because you want it, it's a great shame and example of a flawed system that it isn't in place. You having to type 5x5000 and then going /charity 25000 in a span of two minutes isn't ruining your rp or even minorly inconveniencing you. You having a bit more money in your bank that you can ignore or just go "mmm I'm gonna just /charity 75% of the cash today to keep it realistic" isn't hurting you. This is why I'm calling it toxic. Its the mentality that because you have to go to an extra step, that's not even worth calling a minor inconvenience, to facilitate your own choice, that has no actual baring on the rp unless you physically choose to make it so, that the staff should sit down and write new code and put in more work ontop of other more needed features and maintenence. Nothing is stopping you from rping a poor character except yourself. And if you want to continue this conversation, shoot me a pm as this thread is not about this subject.
  2. Just ignore the money, it's not a big deal. Or just /charity it. It's more coding work for a super niche and knickpicky reason. This is one of the embodiments of the toxic elitist rper mentality that leads to people calling even good and fleshed out civilian rpers rats. It goes both ways.
  3. I see a lot of people mentioning cults, and I've heard of the server's shaky history with them. I will say that a group of friends and I usually do a cult thats pretty fun. It isn't a "cult" cult but rather a secret society with cult like tendencies, think stone masons. What we generally do is roll into servers and slowly convert people to our doctrine and spread out. We have members in LOA and in crime groups working their way up so we have our hands in every pot and a wide array of people who trust to slowly convert. Hell on one server we even got a governor elected from our group. Its slow burn and takes months but its always amazing. We've done it on DayZ, GTA V and Red Dead 2. So I guess what I'm trying to say is secret society rp would be nice to see. A lot of people unfortunately go super cartoony with this kind of stuff. Although... if they're doing it right, maybe one already exists and we don't even know it. 😱
  4. Username: Ayari Comment: If this dude is running for office, we're better off with a literal subway rat. At least the Knight lady doesn't talk like a used car sales man trying to sell you a piece of shit 1997 Dinka Sugoi.
  5. I agree with other people who've brought this up, but languages have dialects, slang, ect. We're trying to provide an easy to read translation that imparts what our characters are saying. So while I don't think it should be super heavy on slang and broken words, it probably wouldn't hurt anyone since it'd invoke that the language is being spoken in a very sloppy and slang-y way.
  6. Ayaka Nakamura β—‰ δΈι‚‘ 硒花 Oh Ae-ri β—‰ μ˜€μ• λ¦¬ 15 β—‰ Runaway Screenshot thread for a Zainichi Korean from Shin-Ōkubo who immigrated with her mother to the United States of America at the age of thirteen. She is now a runaway and is living in the Little Seoul area. This thread is mainly just pictures I thought to take. I generally forget to take them during more intense RP though, so nothing too exciting will be shown! Sorry.
  7. This. I was about to say that banks, dealerships, even some gangs and loansharks, will prey on lower income people. Furthermore there's a whole industry revolving buying cars from the police and selling them cheap. When the police impound vehicles related to crime scenes and other things, if there's no will or next of kin to get them, they go to an auction where its usually super inexpensive to purchase them.
  8. I grew up in a lower income area, and it is 100% a thing that people living in trailer parks have very nice cars. In fact, that's where all their income goes. It's poor spending and it's why they live in a shitty part of town because it's all they can afford. It's sad but a lot people put more money into their car than they do to their family's housing. This is 100% in character for lower income areas.
