That's poor portrayal in my honest opinion, especially if you just made the character, the backstory can bite the big bullet.

A lot of things are poor on GTA W, doesn't mean anyone does anything about it. This is a community where 4 friends on discord can go to a hardware store, buy a baseball bat and start terrorizing players who are running a complex multifaceted legal business  for months to a point where they can't operate anymore. On the other hand you have someone trying to set up a church only to be subjected to drive-by's and executions and religious trolls, while across the street a venue is hosting public sex parties. A place where a few friends smoking pot at the Sandy Shores skatepark get held at gunpoint by someone called Blackraven "Alabama" Wolfangel, a 4'3" "athletic" blonde who just got a PF license driving a $310k truck becoming the harbinger of justice because they decided the county is "lawless". On one side you have people fresh off a Roblox server who desperately pursue the "grimiest" roleplay while RDR 2 VoIP venturing into text RP trying to open a bar in the county and think that shooting everyone who they don't like is a constitutionally protected right. The same place where if you hit a cactus on accident with your dirtbike you get admin jailed for GTA:O driving, but told to write a RPQM casefile on someone running through the same desert in an alien costume with a combination wrench attacking coyotes after beating a local to inches of his life.

    1. Respect, has to be mutual, what I mean by that you don't know someone? You give them the basic respect of being polite, you do not have to trust them since you just met them, but common courtesy is a thing.

    2. Talking back in disrespecting manner to someone new you meet as the new kid on the block will cause the other party to take action against you.

Except most people show up and for the first 30 seconds of their existence immediately start a fight because their character thread said they’ve been in the county for 46 years and are the baddest motherfucker on the island

    What people beside me, friend?

Please watch my video and point out the people who were beside me, I might have bad eyesight.

You were pulled over at 22:40, not 22:35.

[2024-04-04] [22:35:32] [POLICE RADAR] Jackson Mayhew has clocked a vehicle going 136 MPH at coordinates -723.5657 -916.8178 18.590551

Your last radar scan was five-minutes before he passed, therefore I am confused how the radar logged him going 100mph?

My radar only locks at 100 mph, those are the only people besides him that were going over 100 mph.

  5. @Peak.Hello. I have no intention of adjusting or otherwise altering the statements made within the provided report. There is no server rule, faction policy or otherwise legal requirement for me to record every single instance of radar or criminal activity that I observe.  The evidence I submit is submitted under a condition of truth and trust, the penalty of breaking that trust is a permanent ban. The report details that the copy of the radar readout is attached, it shows 100 mph on the rear antenna. This reflects what happened. You can see this in the video footage provided in the report:

    50f875bf3153ac5481541c4614266db9.png

Dashcam footage captures the initial passing of the SUV. This is accurate, as the Novak was traveling westbound on Vespucci Boulevard before it passed my speed trap and was traveling over 60mph, but not 100 mph (which is the cutoff for me to take action, and what my radar limit is always set to). The asked for evidence that my radar was set to a limit of 100mph, server logs will reflect this. The vehicle did not pass my detection field doing 59mph as described. For reference, this is a rough sketch of my detection field:

    9f14c11e712e1e0979f4ec8a1c1e3ddd.png

For clarification, the black line is an approximate visualization of the Novak's travel trajectory up to the point of me recording a speed of 100 mph (aka radar alert)

    56f3838c269a88883f5327f9f06d77f2.png

A brief moment later, the cruiser is seen making a U-turn, and driving west on Vespucci, slowly catching up to the SUV which abruptly makes a U-turn to park. This reflects reality, I made a U-turn to catch up to the Novak in order to pull it over as reflected in the following approximate visualization with my travel trajectory in red:

    a64c79eb1573f5a5d9cb5bc3d05d8843.png

This too is reinforced in the footage presented by the reporting party, you can see my vehicle when the player looks behind them:

    d5cdab2ccd622e90197dbd33c6dbfecd.png

The driver gets out as the cruiser is positioned behind the car, lights and sirens activate. This too represents actuality, as shown in this approximate visualization with my travel trajectory in red:

    f46ca0d3232822c82a84a75733e6d00a.png

The 45* angle is a limitation regarding paint, my vehicle was aligned straight in relation to the road. As for the "age old LEO question", my character was monitoring traffic with a speed radar and recorded a vehicle traveling over 100mph and pulled it over. To my knowledge the radar script accounts for terrain and environment, and it's limits have been presumably configured by developers, I will defer to your assessment whether the utilization of the radar is within bounds. The core claim here is "I didn't see the cop car so it didn't see me". While it is possible the player did not see me, I did in fact see the player.

  6. The amount of OOC that has infested our roleplay is staggering. I can’t do anything within the legal roleplay sphere without some sort of OOC involvement. Whether it’s teamspeak effecting roleplay, or OOC relationships influencing in character affairs - it’s everywhere. It’s server wide and doesn’t discriminate between roleplay areas. People acting like their characters OOC is by far one of the least hurtful forms, if you ask me. But more than often I find that it’s the other way around. I’ll get berated OOC by players, every third roleplay situation requires some sort of admin intervention. Hell, even a simple traffic ticket can’t remain IC. It’s even worse when you’re forced to deal with people OOC. Like I’m not here to get to know you OOC.

Plus you don't know if a person actually broke a rule or not. But this server also favors legal RP and the petty forum reports can also be to their own privelage or advatanges. I don't think y'all seeing it from two different POV's.

On LSRP we had the report formatter where all you had to do is put in a name, a video/screenshot and list the broken rule and it would automatically generate a complaint

"so what even if that did happen."

my exact point lmfao. you already have enough swat teams with seb and d platoon, you don't need a third team. people in sahp are gonna get bored of doing traffic eventually, at least a chunk and will start nagging to have a swat team added.

pretty sure state parks has tried that  too 🤷‍♂️

(oh yeah, cant use sadcr as an example. you dont see sadcr members patrolling around, meaning it's basically impossible for them to get involved in situations that  patrol agency swat teams will handle.))

The LSPD is a municipal police department, the LSSD is a county sheriff’s department. Both are general purpose all around law enforcement agencies with their own specifications based on their real life counterparts. These two are the only ones you can compare to one another. State Parks fall under a park management system with State Park Peace Officers which operate within their own niche, a much smaller corner of LEO RP. Highway patrol falls within the latter category.

Contrary to your point of “adding another team”, it would neither add nor detract the amount of police anywhere. The LEO RP playerbase generally remains the same, they naturally fill up where ever their personal interests align. State parks didn’t add 30-40 new officers, players who like that niche naturally filtered out from PD/SD with a frequent rotation and occasional new on-boarding. All a highway patrol agency would do is change aesthetics (cars, uniforms) and allow more people a chance at LEO faction leadership within a niche of LEO RP. You’ll see the same players who you find on the highway now.

If only people who're so openly against these types of people would actually take the time to forum report them.

I’ll consider this when it’s not an absolute joke and it can be proven it’s not a waste of my time. I’ve been forced to sit in a 45 minute admin situation, imagine sitting in a forum report for weeks or months. Maybe if they brought back the reporting tool we had in SAMP.

    wtf is this thread

Imagine a public opinion barometer like a special tool that helps us understand how people feel about different things. Think of a public opinion barometer as a magical happiness meter. When lots of people are happy, the meter points to the happy side. If many people are sad or worried, it goes to the sad side. So, it helps us know what many people are thinking or feeling together.

  12. Imagine if we had IV handling. I’d like it if we had more realistic driving habits. It’s gotten to a point where reckless driving is the standard, people are genuinely offended OOCly when you enforce IC traffic laws. The consequences for reckless driving are irrelevant for a lot of people, I once stopped a person with his 17th count of reckless driving and couldn’t care less. People will also drive around recklessly with guns and drugs in their cars, leading to a traffic stop, and often leading to arrests. But it’s never their fault, it’s my fault because I have the audacity of pulling them over after they overtake me on the incorrect lane doing 100mph while I’m yielding at an intersection.
