It shouldn't. Otherwise you'd be seeing those mods on other servers too. If the server ever does replace anything modification wise, then it'll strictly be available from the server and no where else. Though with things like vehicle mods, they don't need to be replaced with the vanilla vehicles at all.

Nah, I mean. For instance those hair models. They do not replace any models if GTA World adopts them, correct? It is as if they are just extra models to be used. Do you know what I mean?

The hair models replace the other duplicated hair models found in DLC folders. 

 

It really depends. For instance, a vehicle can easily be an addition, than a replaceable asset. 

 

Edit: I believe in the server, you could go all the way up to 72 hair IDs. Correct me if I'm wrong. Though it would only rotate through the same hair models as I mentioned.

This is incorrect. The extra files for IVPack and VanillaWorks are simply to inject these cars into singleplayer traffic. Just using the vehicles themselves as add-on vehicles (or replace in some cases where it is a direct improvement on the vanilla vehicle) is far simpler.

 

It's important to remember that when it comes to GTA:O clothing, there are no addons. Only replacing. We cannot go crazy and add too many new things. We can only afford to replace the clothing that currently serves no purpose on the server.


We must be careful with script mods, too. Many of these can simply be done via the game code instead - They're all using the same game files afterall. I'm unsure if Rage even supports such mods. In addition, I'm sure our developers can make better versions as, like I said, it all uses raw game values anyway. See VStancer for example. A fantastic mod, but poorly done. Both the UI is confusing and you can make a car unusable if you do not know what you're doing. A failsafe is mandatory with easy user interaction. Furthermore, it would have to be modified and adapted to be used only by specific parties - Mechanics at a garage most likely.

 

Gun models should be untouched too. This makes it harder for a wider variety of RP. I can't RP a Combat Pistol as a HK45ct anymore if the server has a Glock 19 mod installed. It's a limitation of freedom and should be avoided at all costs.

 

All in all, we must be careful and I cannot stress that enough. An ignorant view of mods can cause disaster to the server. Vehicle add-on mods and MP ped file replacements over unused and unfitting items is fine when done properly but even this must be done with care and attention.

 

And try not to link the same mod that someone else has already done - Two of mine have already been relinked due to careless posting. No clothing items that have real life products either lol, that should be obvious. The same reason why we wouldn't add real life cars.

I definitely support adding small mods, but KEEP IT VANILLA way, that means nothing like -

But keep it classic and original, instead - like Soupiest's hairstyles and GTA 4 interiors. Nothing to shiny, exposed or unfit for the environment.

 

Generally I do not recommend to add any kind of non related to Rockstar mods. They're still going to be a bit unfit as they were not made by Rockstar. Additionally, I wouldn't suggest to use any of those mods to avoid problems with R* Games and RageMP. Instead, use Rockstar made things only. As some people mentioned here, there are features within the game that are not being used like bags, umbrellas and other items exists in the game that are being used by the built in peds, that are not access able to the Multiplayer, thus to avoid any conflicts with the publishers. nothing like "Realistic blood" things, tires mods etc. There are MORE than enough modifications in game, the only things I'd love to see are bags, supermarket bags, flowers,  like being used by peds, story mod players etc.
