On the evening of the 15th of June, emergency services were called to a large structure fire on Picture Perfect Drive in the Vinewood Hills area. The incident was called in by a neighbor fearful that the flames were so close to their own home. The mansion was ablaze on one the front right side of the structure (the delta side) and these flames reached from ground level to roof. LSFD began an offensive attack in an attempt to limit the fire, but quickly realized that the fire was spreading as a result of combustible materials intentionally set there.

A primary search was conducted as flames were tackled, followed by a secondary search to tackle the remaining fire inside. Fortunately no one was injured in the blaze, however it was a challenging fire due to the size of the building. Ladders were used to aid in creating ventilation in order to increase visibility inside the mansion by letting out smoke.

The scene was initially conducted under the command of Captain In Training, Firefighter Patrick Capra. IC was then taken over by Captain Jeremiah Maxwell upon his arrival. The efforts combined resulted in the knockdown of the fire, followed by overhaul by San Fire.

This was no accidental house fire. Muddy footprints could be seen in the neighbour's garden leading from the charred building. The footprints stop at what one can only assume is the point the arsonist entered a vehicle and departed. However, San Fire were unable to comment or confirm any details due to concerns for the safety of the victim, the incident will have been passed on to the Arson Prevention Team. What we were told, however, is that the arson links back to an incident that took place last month.

The Abe Milton incident happened at 7:40PM on the 14th of May. A fire was contained to a singular apartment in the building and fortunately on this occasion no one was hurt either. The incident was handed to The Office Of The State Fire Marshal and they concluded that the incident was a result of a criminal break-in and fire-setting. San Fire also confirmed that they had received a payphone call from the alleged arsonist themselves, leading to a call of service to check a payphone in the Cypress Flats area. Once more, due to the nature of the scene, San Fire were unable to provide further comment.

The attacks are thought to be targeted arsons but it is uncertain who the attacks are targeting and why until further information is released to the public, or by the arsonist him/herself.
