About The 70's

#MenloBoyz  The South Side Menlo Neighborhood Crips are an African-American street gang originally founded on 65th to Roy Lowe Boulevard and in the Rancho district of South Los Santos, San Andreas. Formed in 1977, the Menlo Crips was originally named the "Menlo Boys" but then would latimage0.giferchange their names to the "Menlo Gangster Crips" due to theiralliance with the Eight Tray Gangster Crips. Menlo have been said to have a fallout with Eight Tray Gangster Crips and numerous other gangs apart of the 3x card. Just recently after continued beef transpired between the the sets, Menlo Gangster Crips and Eight Tray Gangster Crips went their separate ways, ultimately causing Menlo to flip from the Trey (3x) card, to the Deuce (2x) card and claim Rollin' 70s, better known as Menlo Neighborhood Crip. The Menlo Crips have also had transpiring beef with the Hoovers, since the 1980's. This long lasting war has caused multiple shootings and innocent causalities.

"Aye, Where you from?!"  The Menlo Neighborhood Crips have many different gangs they have beef with throughout the South of Los Santos, San Andreas. They can be seen on social media putting K's after their opposition's hood or putting a X through it as well. Their main blood rivals are all Brim sets, the Harvard Park Brims, 54 Van Ness Gangster Brims, and the Fruit Town Brims. Other blood rivals include the Denver Lane Bloods along with the Swan Bloods. Not only do they beef with bloods, they have long lasting beef with a couple of crip sets as well. They feud with crips such as Playboy Gangster Crips, 52 Broadway Gangster Crips, Tenline Gangster Crips, and they also beef with 83 Gangster Crips although they used to be close. 83 Gangster Crips and Menlo Crips long lasting beef cause Menlo to flip from 3x Card and drop Gangster Crip and pick up 2x Card becoming Neighborhood Crips. They no longer are good allies with any set under the 3x Card.

Spoiler

"F!%k Da Hoovas!"
Menlo's biggest rivals were the Hoover Criminal Gang, mainly the 83 Hoovers and the 74 Hoovers. This bitter and bloody rivalry has lastedtenor.gif over 30 years and is still going strong to this day. During the Menlo's conflict with the Hoover Criminals, the Eight Tray Gangster Crips provided backup for The Hoovers, prompting The Menlos to eventually drop their affiliation tothe "Gangster Crip" card and to associate themselves with gangs under the "Neighbor Hood Crips" card who were already engaged in war with the Hoover Criminals. On October 21st, 2003 a male known as Psycho from Menlo Crip was shot and the authorities believed the people caused for this male's death was Delisha and Mattis from 83 Hoover and hour later a woman named Vanetta would be driving a car and in the car it included her son, daughter, and her little cousins. They stopped the car at a light on Roy Lowe and Macdonald, Vanetta's son spotted a car stop and pull up and notice it was "Nene" a male from Menlo who they all knew well due to the fact they were very close with Vanetta. Nene hit a U-Turn in the intersection then seconds later shots would be shattering Vanetta's window wounding one of the kids inside and leaving the car with multiple shattered windows and bullet holes. Nene then called Vanetta and apologized as he mistaken their car for a car, he has seen an 83 Hoover driving. Nene accidentally left a voicemail on Vanetta's phone admitting to the shooting where it would later be used in court as evidence. Nene attempted to persuade to tell Vanetta to tell the court it wasn't him and change her statements. He also told her that he repainted his car, Vanetta recorded all of this information to use in court.

#DamonThompsonMadeTheNews  A well-known active member of the Menlo Crips, made Los Santos Times headlines in 1987, the Menlo Crips were in the news. DeAndre Brown, a 9-year-old kid, was shot and died while playing in a sandbox in Mount Carmel Park, located in the heart of Rancho. The intended target’s were members of the Hoover Crips. Damon Thompson, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 17-years-to-life.

image0.png#WaroffGroveStreet — A few days would go by, SadBoy#3 was pronounced dead. As word went around town about the events that transpired off of Grove Street. After multiple Los Santos Times and news reports Menlo would finally get word backthat there were three individuals from 74 Hoover Criminals in the vehicle and another unidentified member. All of the members from Rollin 70s would be summoned to a meeting to be told the details of the situation that transpired a week ago, it led to a huge argument where several high  ranking members of Menlo were ready to go to war with Hoover, while the majority wanted to have a sit-down and see what that was all about.

#PresentDay — The 65 Menlo Crips have multiple cliques throughout the set, the cliques are: 65 Menlo Crips, 67 Menlo Crips, 68 Menlo Crips, 70 Menlo Crips, and 103rd Street. When Menlo picked up the 2x Card they adapted many allies, from the 2x Card. "30's to the 100's" is a common reference a lot of the Rollin Crips say. It refers to their alliance with each other on the South side of Los Santos, San Andreas as they are all under the 2x Card and claim Rolling Crips these sets include the Rollin 30s Harlem Crips, Rollin 40s Neighborhood Crips, Rollin 50s Neighborhood Crips, Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips, Rollin 90s Neighborhood Crips, the Rollin 100s Crips. These are all allies of the Menlo Crips but, let's not forget the 6-Pacc East Coast Crips. Menlo's closest alliance is with the 67 Neighborhood Crips, who they also shares the same territory with. Collectively, they are known on the streets as the "Vermont Square Gang" or "Vermont Square Crips".
