The Married To Money Hustler Crips

predominantly, though not exclusively, an African American street gang that occupies the South Central section of Los Santos. Their history can be documented all the way from the 60s, in which they were independent street gangs, up until the 21st century. Though a smaller gang compared to other street crews, they are still known for their drug distribution rings and money making schemes.

The Ghetto Greens first started out as a small movement within the impoverished neighborhood of Los Santos, as a way to gain recognition and bring jobs to South Central. The Ghetto Greens were an offshoot of the Black Panther’s Movement but mainly focused their activism within politics and spent their time marching as well as blocking state government buildings, to make sure change was brought. The Ghetto Greens was seen as a selfless identity. The good they wanted to get wasn’t just for their own community but rather to all of Los Santos, San Andreas, and even America, believing that poverty is the true common enemy. But during the 70’s this type of talk of a selfless identity was seen as obscene. The Anti-Communist America began to label the Ghetto Greens as a communist movement, which lead the FBI to inherently break the organization from within by destroying their reputation. They began to frame the area’s drug dealers on the Ghetto Greens, claiming that the Ghetto Greens were the supplier of a large criminal drug operation in hopes of funding a communist revolution. The Ghetto Greens soon collapsed due to the unwillingness support of their constituents as their reputation began to detour.

From activism to competition

After the dissolution of the Ghetto Greens, much of the remaining group turned towards the streets in order to take their frustrations out. The Ghetto Greens then turned into the Ghetto Green Boys and began to thrive on crime. They competed with the various local gangs such as the Mud Side Mobsters, Stock Hood Avenues, Lowe Gang, Baby Aces, and the Crazy Carson Crew, rendering hotspots such as movie theatres or food joints unhospitable. Though when the Crip and Blood identity began to divide all of Los Santos up, gangs such as the Ghetto Green Boys, Stock Hood Avenues, and Mud Side Mobsters adopted the Crip identity all the while the Roy Lowe Steppers, Baby Aces, and the Crazy Carson Crew adopted the Blood identity as a way to counterculture the majority Crip presence in the area. This new identity allowed for all three gangs, Ghetto Green Boys, Mud Side Mobsters, and the Stocc Hood Avenues to sit down at the table and to unify under one common banner.

Bishop’s Chicken Beatings:

August 27th, 1971, three members of the Crips were apparently on the hunt for rivals of the Roye Lowe Steppers, believing that members of the Steppers had disrespected the younger brother of a Stocc Hood Crip affiliate. When a few Crips decided to frequent a local food restaurant, they had noticed an individual that seemed connected to the Roy Lowe Steppers, believed to be a rival street gang of the Crips. When a Crip gang member, followed by his entourage confronted the lone Roy Lowe Stepper, they had performed what is commonly known as a “G-Check”, to which they asked him what gang he was affiliated with. “Is it Crip or what!?”, said one member, to which the individual responded with “This Roy Lowe right here”. The heated exchange then spilled over to the outside, to which they waited for him by the entrance doors of Bishop’s Chicken restaurant. Upon witness speculation, many had witnessed a gang jumping occur, in which all members of the Crips had chased down the individual four blocks down the street and had pummeled them with a barrage of punches and kicks towards the head. When the victim was then taken to the hospital, it was reported that the

individual was in stable condition though had undergone various trauma towards the head and suffered brain bleed.

The attackers were not formerly identified, and no charges were given.

Ten Cent Stabbings:

July 12th, 1972, members of the Crips entered the Ten Cent movie theater. Upon arrival, they had identified rival gang members belonging to the Baby Aces. It is believed that a few words were exchanged in which the Married To Money Crips attempted to yank the leather jacket of a Baby Ace member. As a result, a large brawl ensued. “It was hectic” said one witness. “There were fists and kicks flying everywhere, then all of sudden we just see pools of blood on the floor”, said another witness. It is believed that during the brawl, one Married To Money Crip member pulled out a knife and proceeded to slash the Baby Aces, leaving four in critical condition and one passing away on arrival to Pillbox Hill Hospital.

21-year-old, Gerard Johnson was then charged with four counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and 1 count of 2nd degree murder, totaling up to 53 years within the Bolingbroke State Penitentiary.

After the Ten Cent Stabbing incident, many of the surrounding gangs adopted the Blood banner in order to combat the gruesome attacks left at the hands of the Crips. Soon, large rumbles began to break out between the two gangs. Though when Crip gangs began to break off into their own sets and formed their own alliances dubbed cars, much of the former street gangs branched off into their own identities. From the roots of the Ghetto Green Boys, Mud Side Mobsters, and the Stocc Hood Avenues came about the formation of the Married To Money Crips.

Sit Back And Watch The Money Flow

As the 80’s crack epidemic started to hit the streets of Los Santos, various established street crews found a better way to increase their funds. Though with this new wave of financial gain came an onslaught of violence. Long were the days of fisticuff battles after school at a small parking lot. This was a time of dominance and growth. Small street crews began adding structure to their outfit, turning the pettiest of thieves into the most notorious kingpins Los Santos has ever seen. At this time, Married to Money was led by a well-respected gang member who was beloved both within his gang and as well to the local gangs, as he was often charitable and hospitable towards them. The “Poodie Loc” era is where MTM saw less violence as they often put down any flares of set trippin with any local gangs and preferred the calmness to make money. As a result, OG Poodie Loc often reached out and kept tabs with other gangs and made an effort to break any sort of dispute down when it came to the politics of the underworld. When the Rollin 60’s and Eight Trays went to war, and various street gangs began to pick a side, Poodie Loc was very respected to the point where his declaration of neutrality was recognized between all sides of the conflict.

To Show One’s Strength Is To Show One’s Teeth

In the 90’s, Married To Money, also known as MTM, focused their efforts to live up to their name. They had various rackets and rings in place that dealt with the underground scene of the streets. If you were to walk down the street within the neighborhood, you could find yourself buying new shoes or a new shirt, maybe even a brand-new radio? But delve deeper into the heart of the neighborhood and you’d find out that twenty dollars would open you up towards the black market of Los Santos. Though at this time, this is where much of the internal issues began to sprang up. Controversy surrounding Poodie Loc’s apparent death resulted in accusations between the gang’s subsets. MTM’s structure consists of three subset, all being named from the three original gangs that formed MTM: Ghetto Greens, Mud Side, and Stocc Hood. Around the mid 90’s, the Ghetto Greens and Mud Side had gone through an internal war all the while the Stocc Hoods were being attacked by the former rival blood gangs. This internal strife had gotten to the point where childhood friends who lived near each other were barred from seeing one another due to the proximity of the war. The war was then halted when various OG’s from all three sides came together and set their difference’s aside in order to face off against the rivaling blood gangs.

Modern Day

The Married To Money Hustler Crips are still dealing with forms of internal strife stemmed from the past, though are in the process of mending. The new generation have made attempts into unifying as one coherent gang as they once were in the 80’s, though the recent RICO charges made against them have made things incredibly difficult. In April 23, 2018, Operation Dollar Sign sought the arrest of 27 MTMHC affiliates, leading the gang to shrink in size. Today they are still active, though a shell of their former self.

OOC

We are attempting to portray a fictional crip set under the Hustler Crip car. In order to join, we highly recommend making your character around the ages of 14-17 and approaching us icly. Though to get a better conception of what our group is intending to roleplay, we also advise those with questions and concerns to join the discord listed below. We will not accept any players with a Play To Win attitude. Additionally, we want our members to follow ALL server rules and for those that don't will only get 2 warnings before they are kicked out. Strong character backgrounds, storytelling, and immersion are things we are looking for in order to both blend the creative aspect of a fictional faction along with the boundaries of realism concerning a Hustler Crip gang.
