As a child, he was the average student in primary school, staying out of trouble and bothering nobody, but later on, got hooked up with the shady older students while he was in high school. The high-school years were pretty rough because his family was struggling and he could not afford the cool stuff some of his richer classmates could and he was bullied over it. He began resenting them and once he even got into a fight with one of the asshole classmates while they were all in the school's cantina. Some older students, also American-Italian, saw the fight and began taking Larry under their wing to avoid bullying. They took him to the local gym they were also visiting and that's where Larry began his road down the criminal path. He started small, working out as a usual customer and also taking half sheet bets from some customers in the gym's leader's name. Thus he got pulled into the betting ring where, as he grew up, Larry would begin taking on his own customers and running a little online betting site hosted off-shore in Europe. Aside from taking the bets, Larry would also get sent to threaten and/or recover unpaid debts, because the gym owner was also loaning people. Sometimes he would come with the money, sometimes he would come beaten up and that would prompt him to return with a few more guys and getting the money back through other means, either in cash after a violent act, or by thieving whatever of value the bad debtor had. Sometimes even whole cars. In 2016/2017, the gym owner passed him over as a reliable guy to Anthony Valeri, a known shylock in Vegas. This way, the gym owner, who was an associate to the Bonanno crime family, put Larry on record with the Bonanno associate, Anthony. Under Tony, Larry would participate in various criminal activities and later on follow him to Los Santos to be part of his new crew.
