Hadrian
Quote 16 January 2022 Richard Luboski On the 14 December 2021, the Los Santos field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigations filed several high-profile indictments following the dismantlement of numerous car theft rings believed to be linked to Eurasian and Italian-American organized crime groups that have established networks in San Andreas. A spokesman for the Los Santos Insurance Association, Matthew Smith, declared that following the indictment, car theft claims, in which the vehicle was not recovered, have diminished by more than 60%, which leads insurance companies to believe they have in fact dismantled the groups responsible for the international export of stolen cars. Moreover, it was believed that these networks, operating under the banner of New York mafia groups, brought down significant law enforcement attention on high-ranking mafiosis. Insider sources for the New York and Michigan field offices of the Federal Bureau of Investigations claim field agents challenge that idea. Wiretaps and informant intelligence seem to point out that while authorities did succeed in dismantling numerous car theft networks, high-ranking mobsters in both New York and Michigan sent orders across America for all car theft exports from Los Santos to cease for a month to estimate their losses. A month after these indictments, none of these target any known member of the American Mafia, and inside sources say related groups in Los Santos have been given the green light to resume their exports. 7 Link to comment
