American Badasses

Recommended Posts

"We served our country, protected the rights and freedoms along with the beliefs of our fellow Americans from communist ideology, we enslaved ourselves, weather it was rain or shine, injured or healthy. We dodged gunfire saw our brothers die in our arms. Watched our steps everywhere we went, living in paranoia was shit, we told ourselves we'd be leaving soon, and that we had to accomplish our goal.  The thought of losing our friends and families haunted us everyday. Despite all these evil thoughts, we fought long and hard, our minds tired and fucked up. We couldn't think straight, see clear or breathe properly. Finally... Finally America won the war, the economy was booming and the rise of our population soared.  After serving  four years, we were finally home; A good ol'buddy of mine and I struggled to find jobs upon our arrival to the United States of America. Being uneducated and coming from a poor family, joining the Marines was our only hope for pride and status, along with a little income. Serving our country and our people, we thought that coming back home would be easy as we achieved the impossible.  The dream of retirement and living in a house with the white picket fence was now impossible, as we struggled to find jobs, . We were promised a good life upon arrival, we were promised retirement, with a bunch of government aid. Turns out that government aid meant being able to afford a pack of cigarettes and beer for the month and rent had to be accounted for ourselves... And the world wonders why crime exists."

"We're badasses not by choice, but by default. Dudes like us don't have a happy ending. There's no such thing as marriage, love or settling in, we live nomadic and go wherever the road takes us."
