  1. On the Christmas night of '94, Elvira Marino Diaz was brought to this world by Cuban mobster Armando "Santana" Diaz and Erica Marino in the heart of Vice City. Santana was a fiery but fair man in his early 30's, immersed in the Vice City criminal world. Originally, he had his royalty and connections to the Los Cabrones, participating in their multiple gang wars against other gangs in Vice city, he ultimately left the gang behind, struggling to keep himself afloat. Though he was an intimidating figure, he was surprisingly tender for a guy in his line of work. Erica was a young woman in her early 20's, fresh off Liberty city. She's impulsive, headstrong, and possesses a naive confidence in her ability to handle anything life throws at her. she came to Vice City with the idea of freedom from her Italian family and relying on herself, only to be another victim of the prostitution racket. After accepting motherhood and birthing their daughter, Erica decided to abandon her work in the strips, making Santana work himself harder for them. four years of crime to feed his family has finally caught up to Santana, killing him in a major crackdown turned shooting with the police, leaving Erica widowed with their 4 year old child. After Santana's sudden death, Erica faced the harsh realities of Vice City alone with a young Elvira, Making the agonizing decision to return to Liberty City. Her family welcomed her back, but the warmth was gone, replaced by a palpable distance, a silent judgment. They saw her as tainted, a reminder of their wayward daughter’s choices. Despite the underlying tension, they accepted Elvira, their granddaughter, their niece. Elvira grew amidst uncertainty, her formative years steeped in an atmosphere of unresolved tension and veiled resentments. Each of her uncles took turns trying to fill the paternal void left by Santana. Some were softer, attempting to shield her from the dark truths of their family history, like her uncle Enzo, a bar owner and the man bringing reason and stability to the family, being the only one with a main income thanks to the bar. while others, like Mickey, a morally questionable man with a lot of connections, introduced her to the grit of the street life, igniting a spark in her that would only grow stronger. Forging her path through Liberty City's gritty night life made her have a knack for brawling, whether in school or outside, if she didn't get into a brawl with other kids, it'd be a miracle. a pivotal moment shaped her violent tendencies, where she saw a group of older kids target a girl she knew, threatening her with a knife. Elvira impulsively intervened, resulting in a brutal fight with a group of boys bigger than her. she manages to protect the girl, leaving multiple wounds on her face, resulting in the torn eyebrow scar she still carries to this day, and the realization that she was capable of inflicting serious harm. The older Elvira got, the more violent she became. the city night shaping her into a woman who would come home with bruises on her skin each night, becoming a magnet for trouble. her interventions often escalated into violent confrontations, which worried her family. her uncle Mickey saw her potential as a bouncer. he got her a job in a rough club thanks to his connections, believing it would channel her aggression in a controlled environment. Elvira Excelled as a bouncer. Her size and Intimidating presence were enough to deter most troublemakers. but when violence erupted, she was a force to be reckoned with. while she possessed the strength and skill to break up fights, she lacked the discipline to de-escalate. her protective instincts often turned into brutal displays of force, leaver her employers both grateful and uneasy. The turning point. already in the start of her shift, Elvira's temper flared during a particularly rowdy night. A fight escalated when a drunk customer tried to assault one of the bartenders, She didn't just break up the fight; she became the fight, grabbing the man and throwing him face on into the pavement, almost breaking his neck with his blood pooling beneath him, the air thickened with the gasps of horrified onlookers. She was arrested on the spot after one of the cops saw the incident, leading her to getting charged with a class A misdemeanor by the LC state law, staying locked up in a cell with her thoughts. A clock ticks. Days blur into weeks, weeks into months. Elvira sits alone in her dark cell, the harsh reality of her actions gnawing on her. When freedom finally came, it tasted bittersweet, the disappointment in her family's eyes felt like shards of glass. Their voices echoing her failures. attempts to talk about her decisions turned into shouting matches, leaving Elvira feeling isolated in her struggles. Reluctantly, she decided to seek help, enrolling in anger management sessions that felt more like a sentence than a remedy. It was a tiring step toward healing, but deep down, she knew she needed to confront the tempest that raged within her. But old mistakes don't just disappear, while trudging through the city in search for a job, she felt her phone buzz frantically, her mother Erica, was on the other end, her voice cracking with a hysteria. She couldn't understand most of what her mother was saying, but only one word cut through the noise; Bar. that's all Elvira needed. she knew where to head now. before even getting there, she saw the smoke thickens from a distance, her heart sank in. seeing the bar turn to nothing but ash. This took even more of a toll on her, needing to find a job more than ever to support the bar and family. With her life in Liberty City in ashes, Elvira made a drastic decision. She packed what little she had and moved to Los Santos, a city of sun-drenched beaches and hidden dangers. She hoped to find work, a way to support her family back in Liberty City. The transition was jarring, the city a stark contrast to the gritty streets she had known. Her impulsive nature led her to seek quick fixes, drawing her into risky situations. She sent whatever money she could scrape together back to her family, barely managing to support herself, fueling a relentless work ethic that threatened to consume her. (References I've done for her in spoiler, art is all done by me.)
  2. All Apologies - ?/?/20?? "So, why don't you introduce yourself." The middle-aged man in front of the camera shifts awkwardly on the stool, licking his lips and hunching over. His skin is pallid, clammy, his eyes nestled like marbles in deep, dark pits, a large nose protruding from between. He looks like Hell, with his messy, dirty blonde hair and unkempt facial hair. His voice comes out as a rasp from years of smoking, and a life of hard drugs. "Giacomo Capozzi. Everyone knows- Knew me as Jackie Capozzo." He clasps his hands together, moving about in small, uncomfortable movements as he desperately sought comfort on the chair. "So, Jackie... You agreed to this interview, yeah? Where do you think your 'story' starts?" He runs a hand through the wiry hair on his chin, seeming to give it a moment of thought before he continues. "Well? What do they wanna hear? I mean fuck, nobody watches this Gangland interview shit to hear the guy bitch and moan about his childhood." He laughs with no humor. He continues before the interviewer has his chance. "First time I ever witnessed something violent... I was probably nine years old. Nine or ten. Now, later my parents would move to Liberty City, but I was born in Carcer. You know where this is going already." He gestures to the camera, talking more to it than the interviewer. "Saw some 'spic get his face stomped into ground beef right outside my bedroom window. Swear the fucker that did it looked up to my window. At me." He laughs, it's almost sincere this time, shaking his head in some performative gesture to denounce finding humor in this. "Had to go ta therapy for a few years, 'til I was about 13. Doesn't bother me much anymore, hardly even think about it, but I guess it did fuck me up... Even after all the therapy shit." Jackie stops once more, rubbing his chin and clicking with his tongue. "Come to think of it, 13 was when I first got arrested. Spent a week in juvie, just to scare me. Thing is I can hardly remember what lead up to it, but I took a baseball bat to the principle's car one night after practice. Broke every window, his tail lights, you name it." The interviewer nods along, silently, his presence only known by the sound of a pen striking paper every few pause in Jackie's monologue. "Oh! I got one they're gonna love." He rubs his hands together eagerly, sitting up straight on the stool. "All went down when I was... 15 years old, I wanna say..." Mary Jane's Last Dance - 7/8/2009 There was this girl I used to be friends with. Elvira Diaz- Or, I think she changed it to Marino. She was... Like a sister to me. I was always an only child, didn't even have any cousins in the states, at least not any my age. Poor girl, I roped her into so many stupid schemes over the years. All starts one night, it was a Saturday. My dad owned this little deli, wanted me to get involved, so he put me behind the stove. Gave me something simple as my first recipe, y'know. We sold these prepacked sandwiches there that you'd reheat later, one of the most popular ones was scrambled eggs with a cheese sauce, right? Preparing it was the easiest thing in the world, so my dad trusted I could get behind the stove and make it without him leaning over my shoulder. Well, Old Man Capozzi put too much faith in me. I burnt the butter, then I burnt the eggs, stunk up the place real fuckin' bad. My dad's pissed now, but he doesn't want me going up to my room and jerkin' off or playing on my playstation or whatever, so he sends me out front of the store to cut the like tiny bit of grass there was on the "lawn" with this tiny lil lawnmower, almost looked like a kid's toy. I get it all cut up, and I look at the trimmings and I start thinking to myself, y'know, I was a pothead at the time, I knew potheads, and this shit looks a lot like pot. I could smash it up the right way, and it'd look like a bud. And in my neighborhood? Pot sold for more than diamonds, mostly 'cause there wasn't many blacks around. I pocket it, steal a sandwich baggie from behind the counter, and I call 'Vira over and I tell her I got an idea on how we could make a lil bit of scratch. I told her to meet me at this lil park down the road, I showed it to her and we got the idea, and she'd tag along as a... Lookout, muscle, whatever. She was always a big woman, intimidating too. Now back then, I didn't know shit about dealing. So we did what we saw all the dealers do in the movies and PSAs, we stood on a street corner in our winter coats in the middle of summer. Obviously, some cop comes along, sees these kids on the corner in winter clothing in July, and starts questioning us. I thought the jig was up at this point, I- Heh, I feel bad for it, but I left Vira hanging and booked it down the street. Turns out one of the cop's buddies was just around the corner, so he grabs me, asks me why I was running, and I get the pat down. Now, I think the pigs believed the trick more than any of the potheads in the neighborhood. They wanted to charge me with possession and intent to distribute, but when one of them popped the baggie and smelt freshly cut grass, they all just started laughing. Now, I didn't get off free. They dragged me back to my dad, and I can't tell you how pissed my old man was. Damn near beat my ass off my pelvis. Heh... Can't say I didn't deserve it. <TO BE CONTINUED>
  3. Liberty city was a great map that felt busy even with minimal players around, LS is crusty and boring to play on now since it's been out for like 10 years, filled with recycled factions and rp that just go round and round and never stop. Adding Liberty city within the main server (that is totally possible now) would greatly improve the server from it's clearly aging and stagnant state, without the risk of losing everything you own in LS because you aren't on another server. The two can share an "economy" due to being in the same country so no need to worry about being broke if you moved there and building from nothing. Could even allow state to state smuggling for LEO and Criminal factions moving drugs and weapons or anything between the two states. I'm just going off what i've dug up after seeing this video in my youtube recommended but i'm sure there's other LC lovers who've seen and heard other things for or against. So feel free to discuss. How?

  6. Bonnie Taylor Bonnie was born and raised by a single mom in the projects of Steinway, Dukes, Liberty City. She never met her dad, and without any authority figure in her life she was a directionless youngster, barely attending school, drinking, getting high, and often getting involved with shady characters. Growing up in the projects she would get into many fights, forcing her to toughen up mentally and physically at a young age. At the age of 16 she dropped out of school with no qualifications and worked various low paying jobs in stores and cafes. Her life consisted of just getting by, and partying whenever she could afford it. In a nightclub at the age of 19, Bonnie met Dorion "Biggie" Gates, the Don of Jamaican drug trafficking organisation, The Shower Posse. The Shower Posse was responsible for smuggling 40% of all the cocaine in America into the country, and their leader showered Bonnie with money and gifts, as the pair developed a sugar-daddy/sugar-baby relationship. The relationship was not just a one way street though, as over time Bonnie would gain the Don's trust and carry out many favours for both Biggie and the DTO as a whole. This thread will follow the last few months of Bonnie's life in Liberty City, as well as her move to Los Santos and everything that followed. Bonnie Taylor
