there is generally an overarching attitude among certain subsets of illegal RPers where they are simply too aggressive towards random civilians who they might encounter in their daily lives and this isn't limited to one type of gang (skinheads/peckerwoods) or the other. no, a gangbanger doesn't press every single person they encounter when going shopping for clothes in areas outside of their own 'hood'. skinheads are even more insular than that and operate primarily on a level of xenophobia than hyper-racism (keeping company of their own race, limiting interaction with 'outsiders' unless absolutely needed) and most certainly don't drive deep into 'enemy' territories looking for black or brown ppl to be specifically racist to. this same issue then manifests itself in Sandy Shores/other country areas where they is a large presence of white nationalist gangs who act similarly. however, due to the sheer numerical dominance of these types of characters and the lack of an 'opposition' to this sort of portrayal, the problem becomes pronounced enough that it lends to a certain reputation of the entire region (much like Davis), even if there are factions and organized groups who do their best to create content not only for themselves but also for legal RPers who wish to play in these areas. personally I feel that a thorough review of the county/skinheads scene is required on the part of IFM — not to dole out punishment or apply restrictions but to find common ground where these scenes can coexist without one completely bulldozing the other. I don't think there needs to be a black and white choice here where one has to choose between closing every skinhead faction on the server or turning Sandy Shores into a sundown town with patrolling groups of armed neo-Nazis and antisemitic, racist Klan-esque graffiti and posters on every other street (even if one choice is, in my opinion, better than the other). however, ideally, the leadership of these groups would self-moderate and ensure some sort of decorum within their own ranks when it comes to these scenarios as the larger and more dominant "scene" present in the region while legal RPers should tone down the badassery on their own end and simply not approach groups that are clearly not fond of them and are advertising these beliefs through their clothing and ink.

Looking to rent a small, affordable room in the Burton/Hawick/Alta region (but also open to other areas). Doesn't need to be fancy — a bed, a desk, and a wardrobe is good enough. Utilities preferably included.
