No, there's already too much European influence within the server. People will start using km/h's icly just because they got them irl. No thanks.

    European detected -1

MPH is superior that's why America and England use it

It’s still not very useful though. Quite the opposite actually, it’d cause a lot more problems than it would help. Reasons already stated in those posts you quoted.

I'm not making this suggestion to debate which measurement unit is superior.

Simply making a suggestion to add a common feature to the vehicle system that is the norm IRL.

-1 we're RPing in America, ban the metric system.

MPH is superior why would you want to use metric anyways?

I don't even want to give people the option of mixing the two up ICly, because they will. So, no. -1.

Keep it mph only, kph makes no sense, despite being shown in plenty of vehicles irl, it’d just be clutter in the ui and no one in their right mind would toggle to kph ICly.

the benefit mentioned makes absolutely 0 sense.

I'm sorry, as an European, how does it help me monitor my speed, when the speed limit is 60mph, and my speedometer says 100 km/h. This makes absolutely no sense.

The speedometer is good as is. Speed limit is 60, speedometer says 60.

    This, probably.

We use mph in game ICly, people won't be able to tell their speed and mix them up.

I'm not using MPH in real life and I still don't see the use of getting the option of kph. Getting stopped by a police unit, and then complaints starts about "they tought the limit is in kph" etc.. It doesn't make sense

Quite literally every vehicle sold in the USA has both MPH and KM/H on the speedometer.

Regardless of whether you think metric or imperial is better is irrelevant.

It would make the most sense to have either both, or the ability to toggle between MPH & KM/H but keep MPH as the default while only being able to switch to KM/H if you enter a command if you're really that triggered by it.

  4. 7 minutes ago, Brofessor said:

But you wouldn’t be using both. You’d be toggled on KMH instead of MPH which is counterproductive, in my opinion. You can monitor your speed without difficulty because the units are already in MPH, which is what the penal code uses as a measurement of speed. If the HUD could display both? That would make more sense.

The HUD is capable of displaying both given that it were scripted as such.

  5. Just now, Brofessor said:

Not that I’m against choice, but why? If the penal code says the speed limit is 50 mph, then don’t go over the number “50” on the in-game HUD since it’s in the measurement of MPH. You don’t have to calculate or monitor anything. It’s already there.

Because nearly every vehicle in 2022 sold in the USA has both MPH & KM/H listed on the speedometer.

  6.

    Detailed Description

Allow for players to toggle the speedometer between either MPH or KM/H as most vehicles in America have both MPH and KM/H shown on their speedometer nowadays.

    Relevant Commands/Items

    /togspeedounits

How will it benefit the server?

This will help everyone outside of the USA to be able to properly monitor their speeds more easily.

Most Laptops don't have a secondary GPU, his onboard is a 1050, these are integrated to save cost and improve speed.

Integrated graphics is often referred to as "onboard" in most BIOS. Although the GTX 1050 is technically "onboard" as it is likely soldered into the motherboard, it is in fact a dedicated GPU which is secondary, while the iGPU is primary.

  8. This window randomly appeared about 20 minutes after using the /cexamine & /corpsedamages commands. Clicking "OK" closed the window, and did not require RageMP to be restarted.
