The thing is, if you want to be apart of anything - you've literally got to shoehorn yourself into the conversation. Went down to a house party and my entire RP consisted of drinking vodka awkwardly in the corner while everybody else is shooting the shit, and then once you actually shoot the shit with somebody, the party is over. To go into player groups, you've just got to be confident, either A. You get to be in their clique, or B. Your character gets their shit kicked in. Most RP I've seen happens in events, that's where you get player numbers, if that's a problem; you could just post on people's facebrowsers and meet them ICly, I've met a few friends through facebrowser, plus it's a permanent place to get people so you can chat to them, especially if you lose their phone numbers.

I have to agree with Liew - GTA's worldbuilding has allowed for a lot of room in regards to cars, brands, etc. Albeit, there are gaps, it's not like GTA can just put in everything. My compromise is - If it is in GTA under something, then you refer to it by its in-character name, but if it isnt - i.e. Tiger Balm is not present in GTA. Let's say you have a back-ache, you'll use Tiger Balm, despite it not being in GTA. At least that's my two cents.

I think that if you are drunk, you are responsible for your own actions; you chose to get drunk and if you do something stupid, that's on your head. I do believe in leniency though, I think that maybe if you are drunk but don't do something stupid; you should be double-checked to see if you can actually function properly to avoid any administrative action. A shot of Whiskey doesn't harm anybody.
