  2. Hailey was beaten, pistol whipped and & robbed. I posted the screens in the spoilers on my initial post. I'll post them again for them to be looked over. Beating someone is whatever, but pistol whipping is dangerous and can seriously kill someone. Especially in a male on female assault. Couple that with a robbery, threats to kill her & circling the block in a black ride, what did you expect to happen dude? It's apparent you guys don't understand the severity of what you did to Hailey leading up to your deaths, but it's in no way a violation of any rules. And if you aren't going to read the report then you should seriously not comment. An entire faction report and flagging IFM is a serious issue for something that isn't a violation.

    Here's the screens.

  3. Hey.

I've been waiting for this to open up since it was posted because essentially I don't know why this even lead to a report, let alone an unjustified faction report dude. It's a little harsh given the circumstances. I'll delve into this for more clarity though.

The start of this beef happened when Jamichael was pimping a character called Hailey Langley. Hailey was escorting and meeting up with clients for Jamichael when their relationship suddenly went sour when they decided she owed them 10k despite her already giving her their percentage correctly, so it became an extortion thing. After that, Jamichael told Hailey she was no longer to be dealing with clients directly, instead she was being forced to walk the streets to turn tricks, something that Hailey felt uncomfortable doing. It was at that point that Jamichael chose to kidnap Hailey and beat her within an inch of her life. They didn't just beat her with hands, they pistol whipped her badly, robbed her and then threw her out in the middle of south central where she was then robbed again. Which she believes was coordinated due to the weird coincidence of how quickly it happened.

On top of all that, Jamichael told Hailey that she was going to be kicking up 75%. So not only have they beat Hailey half to death, they're also now exploiting her as a sex worker. At the time I thought this was a little iffy from an OOC perspective but we decided to just keep it in-character and roll with the roleplay essentially. I'm really not a fan of reporting unless it's something super serious and/or game breaking.

    Proof of this ordeal below:

    Spoiler

    ext2.jpg?ex=65925105&is=657fdc05&hm=4f64

So following on from this, Hailey sought to confide in my character, Drew Worgull in what happened to her. Drew & Hailey share a bond, they're tweakers and have a close relationship living at Crystal Park Trailer Park where we've developed both our characters since we created them.

Drew is a punk skinhead and holds heavy disdain for any & all peoples of colour in-character and so this news wasn't taken lightly. Not only that but @AcidI know you're familiar with white/skinhead culture. Beating women in our world is a giant no-no and members of PEN1 and other white factions have a strict policy on that kind of behaviour.

Once Drew was given the full details, he essentially asked Hailey how she wanted to handle the situation. She beat around the bush a little bit but essentially was scared for her life and wellbeing after what she went through.

    Proof of that conversation:

    Spoiler

    ext3.jpg?ex=65925106&is=657fdc06&hm=af76

Hailey warned Drew that Jamichael had a team of people behind him and that he was essentially untouchable because of his cohort and them being armed to teeth. So naturally Drew needed help with how he was going to proceed with helping her. Drew is a hang-around character with the Green Machine Motorcycle Club and so he obviously brought this to one of his closest friends, Dennis Kinkaid, who's a patched member. This all happened outside the Iron Horse in Vespucci.

The issue was raised with Green Machine, and then once again with the cabinet of Green Machine where they decided due to Drew's hang around status it would be best if they dealt with the situation, rather than himself alone.

Right at the very moment that the issue was being discussed and Hailey was giving her side of the story to cabinet members of the Green Machine, Jamichael Carlson pulls up his car, four three/four deep outside the bar and starts shouting at Hailey. Drew approaches Jamichael and asks him to step out of his car, I had every intention to fight him and he knew it was on right then and there. He didn't take up Drew's offer and instead gave a response of "I'll be seeing you soon, Hailey" before speeding off. This is when Drew identified the registration plate of Jamichael's car. The same car he was driving when he was gunned down in La Mesa.

Around twenty minutes later, we're all outside the bar still roleplaying and shooting the shit when we see a black four door circling the bar repeatedly with masked individuals inside it. I personally felt it was them on an OOC level and everyone else on an IC levelled believed it was them due to the sketchiness of the situation. At this point, Green Machine thought to take no chances and did what they did.

This can all be confirmed from our side by @Slan who is roleplaying Hailey.

To summarize, Acid. This was a perfectly legitimate beef that went down how it went down. People have been killed for less, a lot less. And Hailey was in a legitimate fear for her life. Jamichael pulling up to the bar that time only escalated the situation after his threats to kill her, the vicious beating and robbery and topped off with the "I'll see you later Hailey" comment.

From our end, this entire situation was roleplayed thoroughly and was always kept in-character. I'm genuinely surprised to even see a report, let alone a faction report here. I do think though, that Drill didn't fully understand the level of depth of what his actions had lead to and I can understand completely why he thought he was randomly blasted in his car. But from our side, we took it a little more serious than he did. Hailey is connected to Drew, who in turn is connected to some serious individuals in the underworld.

It happened how it happened, and I believe it was personally a perfectly legitimate response.

If you need anything else from me dude, let me know and I'll be happy to detail anything further if you feel I missed anything out. Thanks for reading.

Ok, but snow HAS fallen in LA before. Might not have happened in the last 50 years, but it IS possible. GTAW is in a universe where it happens yearly, for a week. Its not 1:1 with the real world, but it is still realistic. You don't need to be 100% realistic with fictional settings, you just need to be realistic enough to suspend your disbelief. That's why you can have universes such as Avatar TLA, Elder Scrolls, Lord of the Rings that seem pretty realistic, despite the existence of literal magic. GTAW doesn't have magic, but it does have different geography to real life, and different weather. The "Based on" tag, is just to fill in a ton of gaps and give a foundation to work with.

It's like nothing I say despite facts and proof is good enough to convince. It just boils down to "WELL I LIKE IT!" and if that's the case? Then just say that. Stop beating around the bush. There is nowhere in the continuity rules that explicitly say the geopgraphical make up of the surrounding areas outside of LS are changed and that's because they're not. Los Santos exists in place of Los Angeles and that's all that has been changed to coincide with the foundation you're speaking of.

As for all that magic and "expand your mind" spiel... yeah, not it.

out here writing paragraphs over snow that lasts a week

The truth is bro, having snow in Los Santos is less about the unrealistic immersion breaking atmosphere and more about the fact that the lead staff team seem to think it's okay when and where they decide what's continuity and what's not.

How many potentially dope illegal faction concepts are currently being squandered due to continuity rules? How many times have people been banned/ajailed due to unrealistic portrayal? How many factions have been closed down for this exact reason? That's the bigger issue.

Really doesn't matter. You're talking about "realism" as if we don't live in a city with an insanely unrealistic crime rate & economy. If we're on about realism, snow is the LEAST of our problems.

We live in our own state, with our own laws, with our own economy, and our own weather. It only snows for one week out of the entire year, you can deal with it.

Alright. I've had enough of this "Our own weather" bullshit. Time to debunk from actual GTA World lore since that's all you guys keep yapping on about.

GTA World Lore Geography says LA doesn't exist, and in place of LA is Los Santos. Here's the actual map.

Here's the travel distance between Los Angeles(LS) and the tip of Mexico.

Don't hit me with "Los Santos isn't Los Angeles therefore it has snow, stick to GTA World Lore" when GTA World Lore only replaces the city and not it's surrounding areas. The reason I mention that is because the actual reason for snow not falling anywhere in the reigion of hundreds of miles(maybe thousands) is due to it's location geographically being southern and coastal, both of which Los Santos as a city is.

Between the geographical location of Tijuana and Los Angeles, snow has not hit the floor once in over 50 years.
