Server Admins need to stop coddling the Illegal RP community. Thousands of homicides a year is what our LS has. The Senate should crack the fuck down on crime, giving LEOs more leeway to stop, frisk and search cars and houses and making it easier for people to gain legal weapons to defend themselves with. This is what would realistically happen in this deathtrap we call home. If the Senate can't do that, then it's useless.

Not exactly fair considering budget considerations arent a thing on the server and theres already a fuck ton of police

  2. Just seems like pointless bureaucracy for the sakes of bureaucracy

Like, not being able to fish within 10ft2 of eachother? What is the point of that?

It's overly complicated and pointless for hunters, who will either ignore the act or get dumb fines from it. Please make it simpler, shorter and less overreaching so it will actually have some impact IC, rather than being some dumb forum rules everyone ignores

I think it's important for the community to know that intervention of an admin is never personal.

How can you be sure of this though?

Even if you say it's never personal, it's impossible to know that if there are zero public guidelines as to how to punish people for certain rule breaks. It's as much possible that an admin is being personal as well as an admin is just doing their job as far as the player is concerned

  4. I've never really understood the appeal of making a GTArp server and to not make illegal RP your main focus.

Is this GTArp or second life?

Illegal RP is in desperate need of some new updates, something for people to sink their teeth into (no, that doesn't include another f*cking police car or a reskin). What happened to the drug update, the money update?

  5. Short description: Add a way to set a maximum buy in amount for poker tables.

Detailed description: Basically, the owner of a table can cap how much players are allowed to come in with. This would be useful for tournaments, as well as a general casino environment, as having everyone come in with 20k then someone with 1 million is totally unrealistic and, at the moment, unpreventable (and very common.)

Commands to add: /tablecap [amount] or something

    Items to add: N/A

How would your suggestion improve the server? It would prevent players going into poker games with a load of money and just bullying the other players out of the game. It would also allow for easier tournament play, as well as generally improving the poker experience.

But in all seriousness - my only quip with this statement is that we can generally avoid those sorts of characters with no consequence. Bad illegal RP, on the other hand, thrives under the atmosphere that allows it to be forced upon others. A CK might be your reward if you try to ignore it. What's more, the players behind these asset grabs understand they're not up to standards and intentionally skirt the rule breaking line (and tend to try to bargain with you to remove reports if their play is challenged.)

It has developed into its own meta game, which is the part that ticks me off. They know what they're doing.

Illegal RP tends to be confined within illegal RP though. Under that pretence, you can pretty much choose to ignore the bad parts of illegal RP by just joining up with a faction that isn't cringe (Or at least has some good parts in it.)

A lot of the issues with bad RP comes down to people wanting to live out their fantasies as some multi millionaire driving a sports car or a 21 y/o sureno chick with an AK, or a [nationality] mobster in a leather jacket who always speaks foreign languages and never shows emotion

I don't really think it'll ever stop just because of the type of game this is, and that playing a character is way less important in legal or illegal RP than making money or having fun.

  7. legal rp characters just seem pretty cookie cutter like yes bro please tell me more about how you own 5 businesses at 23 with your (insert super car here) that you drive around like a fucking twat

i'm not saying illegal rp is much better, with everyone being the same leather jacket wearing foreign black suv/four door no emotions assassin but at least that makes more sense than literally everyone being a millionaire who does legal rp because legal rp oocly makes you like 1000x more

while people just in it for the lite-RP quick script cash will be frustrated by the fact that they can't just get out in a few days any more and seek something else out.

Nobody is in illegal RP for the quick script cash. Illegal RP will make you ZERO money (unless you have supplier).

In general, this suggestion just feels out of touch with the current illegal RP scene and prison RP scene. Prison sentences are fine at the moment imo.

  9. i'll keep it short as it's not a very complex report or anything, but I had nothing to do with whether he spawned a car during the pursuit or not. I got out of the car and you weren't reacting to the situation ICly so I figured that there wasn't any further interaction between me and you ICly, and that you were reporting him for whatever reason.

When I walked off at the end, I walked off because I had nothing to do with him getting into the second car. I didn't get into it, it's not my car, I didn't even try to run away or get into it. As a result, when you say you're 'uploading the clip' I assumed that it was him that you were after since I wasn't involved with the infraction, nor had I really committed any crime other than being in the car.

As for the 'my char isn't developed' part, well... Yeah. The char has about 4 hours on it. I've just been roleplaying in those four hours so I don't really know why I'd have a criminal record or the like. Not that that's really relevant in any way.

  10. Date of incident: 03/01/21

    Rules broken: Common Courtesy

    Your ingame name: Johnny Lee

Names of witnesses (if applicable): N/A

Explanation of the incident (250 word limit):

    So, context to this situation.

I got into a car driven by Derrick Gatz after he had stolen it from someone else. We drove around until cops started following us, at which point Derrick went to his own personal car and drove off in it. I got out of the stolen car but didn't get into Derrick's car and instead stayed with the cop. You can see the cop say 'I reported' in /b as I got out of the car, hence I didn't want to run away from the situation if there was going to be an ongoing admin issue.

He asked if I was his friend, and I said 'not really'. I stood around for a few moments before walking off as I assumed I wasn't under arrest as simply the passenger of the car, and I wasn't the one at issue of a rulebreak. Frank then PMs me to come to him, and I do. He tells me to stay with him as he's uploading a video for the admin. I ask Frank why I need to stay, and he said that it was because the vehicle was spawned mid-pursuit, and whose car was it. I said in /b it had nothing to do with me and continued about my business.

Frank then rams into the back of me and then puts me at gunpoint to arrest me.

The issue here is twofold - First of all, Frank switching between IC and OOC. He PMs me to come over to him OOCly, and after I walk off as I'm not needed OOCly he then arrests me ICly. If he was still planning on arresting me then he should not have tried to keep me at the situation through OOC means, and then put a 'Resisting arrest' charge on me after I walked off what I thought was a resolved OOC situation.

Secondly, as far as I'm aware, it's not exactly common courtesy to immediately ram into someone then arrest them after dealing with them OOCly.

Vinewood Studios will be open soon again, maybe we will have some cooperation here ?

Very interesting! I'm happy to see a movie production company here again, after Vinewood Studios seem to have gone inactive. I miss the old days of big IC movies showing in the cinemas, and proper movie studio RP. It was a lot of fun when this industry was at its height here about 1,5 years ago. Can't wait to see the movie industry active again on gtaw. Best of luck to you!

Unfortunately me and @liew were banned for 'Trolling' for running into a nightclub with other people and received bans. I have 8 months until I can appeal but to be frank I have zero interest in doing so. Best of luck with your own projects however.
