  1. Since you've even quoted the rule I'm enforcing here, tells me that you're well aware of the thin line you're playing on.

"Before performing a business robbery (entering a nightclub to rob everyone) you must notify the administration team...", this is also applied here, no matter if you robbed only one person.

If you need to leave the game due to whatever reason after a crime, you must notify everybody involved and come to a mutual agreement, else everybody would be logging off to save their characters from potential consequences.

Stanley and Marlo will both be punished for robbing an open business without admin permission and logging off only minutes after.

The scene has been voided as it shouldn't have happened in the first place, @ThomasNoman may post a refund request for the items they lost.

  2. Alright, after doing the research and taking what was said here into account, I can say that no rules were broken by Steve and Daniel.

This is a clear cut example of the outside CCTV rule, Steve needed OOC permission from your character to use the footage of their RP'ed dashcam, which the reporting party consented to. There is no need for an actual dashcam item to RP having one on your person/vehicle/clothing, which is the exact reason why we ask OOC consent to use such footage in the first place, so both parties can both agree to its usage and fairness.

Both Steve and Daniel RP'ed there injuries sufficiently and I see no reason to void or punish anybody here.

  3. Got sent confirmation. Scene was indeed voided by Nervous.

While I won't be giving out punishments for a voided scene, I will use this opportunity to point out that reading a player's nametag above their head is not a valid way of recognizing another person, especially while the other is wearing a motorcycle helmet that'd block any visible facial features, the event happening during the night hours of the server, and while the victim is wearing a different set of clothing to when spotted prior. Do keep this in mind for any similar events in the future.

this was a few hours after that - after a timeskip of me getting treatment

Do note that these timeskips can very easily be put under breaking the Powergaming rule, especially if other parties involved in the RP scenario's aren't aware of these decisions. It is very understandable that FD was confused to see Nick in the parking lot after treating his wounds of the harsh crash just hours before. In the future, try to refrain from using these timeskips altogether, or inform everyone involved in the situation and ask if they're alright with incorporating it into their own roleplay.

Having that said, I do appreciate you owning up to the mistake of breaking the crime-free areas rule. I won't be issuing any punishments here as the majority of the scene was roleplayed adequately on both sides. I will however be voiding this situation as it shouldn't have happened in the first place, at least not in a crime-free zone.

  5. Thanks to the lengthy clip of the situation, I won't be needing to ask any questions here.

I'll start off inside the 24/7. I saw nothing that caught my eye here. The two sides simply threw racial slurs back and forth which escalated quickly into stepping outside to settle it. As we get outside however, Jude decides he's fed up with it and heads for his car, showing clear intentions to back away from the nearing fight as he unlocks his car and heads for the door. Thomas then throws a single punch, followed by a whole flurry of rapid punches through blatant misuse of an exploit of the GTA5 fighting system.

Jude then pulls his firearm while being pummelled, easily justifiable as self-defense being in the position where his life is in potential danger, no matter the age of the assailants. Now, if Jude would have genuinely wanted to get away from the altercation, he'd have stopped shooting after hitting the first three rounds into Thomas and instead could've tried running away or attempt to get back into his car. Instead he continued firing into the group, injuring a bystander and killing Carson outright. This in turn is excessive, since Jude had plenty of time to back off after his immediate threat (Thomas) started running in fear. At that point the shooting then turns from self-defense to borderline DM, which he was initially reported for.

As for Benton, I have not been able to trace any kind of fighting or rulebreaking from their side in the logs, nor was the POV in the video ever panned towards them and their potential actions.

Jude will be ajailed for Deathmatching, Thomas will be issued a warning for use of a fighting exploit, i.e. bug abuse.

  6. Since we're not able to see player's specific positions relative to each other in the server logs, screenshots and recorded vids almost become a necessity to have sufficient evidence for reports involving emote and chat ranges. From what I can see here however, I don't imagine this scenario being anything other than a simple mistake on the robbers side for not having spotted Rasilynn.

Due to the lack of evidence brought forth by the reporting party and the outcome of the situation having little to no IC consequences for both involved parties, I will be taking no administrative action here.

  7. Alright, I've gone over the situation a few times over and I'm ready to make a verdict.

As a whole, I've seen some very poor RP on display here from both sides. Multiple emotes were thrown at each other, however not once have I seen a direct reaction to these emotes, or a /do to follow up on their respective actions.

    To quote the Powergaming rule:

    Quote

It is not allowed to force actions upon another player.

    E.G.

    • Roleplay through a /me to shoot a player with the result of the player ending up dead in the process.

Players should always allow others to react to their emotes.

Calvin, in this case you've emoted "/me hits Rafael with the bat." or a variation of it multiple times, essentially forcing Rafael to take the hits without asking how it would go or how Rafael would react to it. The frisk was also very minimal and unspecific.

Howeveron the other end, Rafael did the exact same with their emotes "/me keeps grabbing Calvin bat and punching him with the foots.", and "/me tries to grab his weapon from the pants and aiming at Calvin" to then shoot Calvin scriptwise. Ignoring the spelling errors, you too did not ask how your actions would go, simply ignoring Calvin's RP altogether as well.

Consider this scene voided. I don't believe these things are punishment worthy, however both the reported and the reporting party will be receiving notes on their accounts in the case something similar to this happens again. Calvin may post a refund request for their lost items if they wish to do so.
