It all started quite a few years back, when friends would gather with their vehicles at a specific location just to hang around and have street races together for a good time as a group. This place went by the name of Banham.
People would come and go, race for fun, have a good time or race for money, as betting was and has always been part of the game, or simply the trials to see who's the fastest at each place for the bragging rights.

Unfortunately, over the time, the implemented law regarding vehicles and their road taxes put in place by the Government made a lot of people to just leave the city and live somewhere else more affordable, in a way they could still do what they love and be able to sustain their vehicles without having to worry.
This however did not prevent the young from showing up on lower-end vehicles that were more easily affordable. The old ones, more wealthy, decided to keep their vehicles and live with it, others decided to use them only for street racing purposes and simply avoid the taxes implemented, removing their plates and prevent the vehicles from being traced back to the owner if it ever came to that.

Whoever remained there from back when it all started, insisted in keeping the place alive for old times sake, some lost their lives on it, but a legacy has been left behind by those people and the place still remains to this day alive by those that enjoy to practice this sport and have fun, others decided to stick around and honor those who lost their life's on that route, by continuing to race it.
Banham however would not be the only place where these people would meet, hang out, show off their rides and race, there were other places. Other routes where even racing tournaments had been held, these places are still used to this day but are not as meaningful and sentimental as Banham is to old school street racers that know the stories of that place.

Everyone is and has always been welcome as long as unwanted attention is not brought up, might the person just be a casual who enjoys driving along with friends, a die hard fan of the sport that is in it not just for fun but for the rush of it or others that are willing to risk their own life just so that they can brag to others.

 OOC Information:

Smoke Fragrance is an underground street racing faction aiming to portray a highly realistic environment of the racing scene. This doesn't mean we won't welcome people with less roleplay experience, if you have potential and as long as you don't decide to troll and ruin everyone's experience you are good to go. We don't promote reckless driving without a proper reason, provoking police officers or anything of that sort, more simply put: don't go non-rp driving. If you are caught doing any of that you will be kicked from the faction and blacklisted, depending on the severity.

This faction will not be focusing only on the racing part, this isn't going to be only driving around at high speeds or on a certain track with your car. We highly recommend everyone to accurately develop their character accordingly, aswell as their car and roleplay all sorts of stuff beside racing.

We will not have ranks, it is entirely based on the respect your character has from others. Your reputation will obviously be affected by the way your character behaves.
We would love to see a bigger variety of vehicles used in racing. It's not all about having a fast vehicle, if you have a vehicle that is harder to drive and you control it as if it's part of you, you'll be seen higher in our eyes. Pick a car that fits your character.

OOC Rules:
First off, we expect you to follow GTA World's rules and regulations.

Roleplay every action of your character. If you drive off a cliff, rolling all the way down, we expect you to roleplay your vehicle accordingly, this goes for your character too, do not just roll the car over on its wheels and take off as if nothing happened.

Keep in mind that when you race you are breaking the law and you place yourself at the risk of getting your license suspended or revoked, the car you are driving impounded and yourself thrown into a cell, be wary of your decisions and do not act carelessly which will lead into you doing a non-realistic action. Remember, it's not you in the OOC, it is the character that gets hurt and whose car is impounded.

We do not encourage you to come over in a fancy ride to race since nobody sane would do that, unless your character could afford such expenses, knowing the risk of a possible crash, so if you bring over your Pariah to race when it would be unrealistic for you to do so, don't be surprised if you will be taken as a fool. We care about your character, not the car they drive.

We reserve the right/permission to CK your character(s) after they have been affiliated with our faction/you started to roleplay with us, for whatever reason we may seem fit.
