Born to a redneck family in Paleto Bay, Jade Brooks was born in the year 1994. The time before cellphones, where casette tapes were the thing. Father Brooks was a hardworking woodworker in one of the many sawmills in the area. Jade's early childhood can best described as a happy one, she didn't worry her little head about the money troubles of her parents yet and had no way to compare herself to other children her age.

This changed as soon as she started attending school, Los Santos High School, a bus ride away from Paleto Bay where her family lived. Suddenly, Jade was able to compare herself with others of her age and began to see shortcomings. It is because of these shortcomings that Jade became aware of money at an early age. Jade soon became a troubled child, the weight of adulthood resting on her shoulders while she was only twelve.

Luckily, Jade knew how to stay between the lines. Except for a couple of visits to the principle's office for fights or other shenanigans, Jade didn't get herself in trouble all that much. There was one day where Jade was wandering away from the schoolgrounds and she was admiring a couple of motorcycles lined up near a grocery store. The biker that probably owned the bike spoke to her; " You likin' the wheels, girl? ", Jade simply nodded in response. Despite the biker's rough appearance, he was kind enough in his own way. The brief encounter with that biker stirred Jade's fantasies to once in her life own something just like that.

Later on in life when it was time to pick a major, Jade chose engineering. While she didn't have any interest to learn the theory, she was excited to learn by practice. She started hanging around a garage in Strawberry, Auto Re-Perez. She started to hang out, long enough for people to notice. She was invited to work with them as an apprenticeship and was shown the basics. Steven and Isaac were her tutors and taught her well. She was given small tasks at first, watched them work. It taught her to handle everything in the workplace, from wrenches, tite-reach extension wrenches, jacks and of course, in todays age, Jade was also taught how to install and update board computers.

As Jade was more frequently at the garage, she was no longer in class. This nearly costed her the finals. She barely passed her high school, but chose to stick around the garage and not persue further studies. Jade's first paycheck went to a dirtbike, to get around town and drive from her parents house to the garage and back. She became good friends with Steven, Isaac and some others at the garage and frequently went to a bar or club with them after work.

Even though the people at the garage, in essence, had been a fantastic influence on Jade, there were also shady dealings. The garage grounds were no stranger to violence, drugs or weapons. Something Jade encountered first-hand. One night around closing time, Jade was tasked to clean out a SUV. The SUV had several Korean bibles in it, which Jade oblivious to their meaning, threw out. This infuriated the owner of the vehicle. Jade was yanked by her hair and beat up severly by the group.

Luckily for Jade that day, the owner of the garage was carrying a weapon and started shooting. Else, Jade would've definately died that day. The Koreans fled the scene. It was after this encounter that Steven decided to give Jade a pocket knife. A knife that Jade has carried with her since.

A couple of good months passed until Jade, Steven and Isaac arrived at the garage one morning. It was shut down with an eviction notice hanging from the gate. Rent hadn't been paid and the owner kicked out, leaving all engineers at the garage jobless. Shortly after this, Isaac found his calling in the Fire Department.. Jade ended up working at a garage for public service vehicles and Steven.. well, nobody knew what Steven did. He probably went on womanizing in the countryside.

The work at the public service garage was boring work, Jade obviously missed the crew she had been working with since then and the folks she encountered were rather stoic individuals. It didn't last very long however and Jade was fired from her position after only one year of employment for having a criminal record. She had been arrested during a during a riot in front of the Weasel News building for instigating a fight.

After one night in jail and a hefty fine that Jade paid off in terms, Jade withdrew from social life for a while. She was working odd jobs in Paleto Bay and the surrounding area, started living with her parents again. Together with her father, she started collecting parks for a new motorcycle. It took several years, but finally Jade was building on a custom chopper, something she had dreamed of back in high school. The project took her several years to complete and even when the motorcycle was in a drivable state, it still took many tweaks and tuning after that to keep it running smooth.

Life was getting better, Jade's criminal record was cleared by a lawyer after several years of good behaviour. The only thing that Jade lacked in her life still, was a job with a steady income.
