Cypher99
Detailed Description: The /r system should be expanded so that authorized businesses / factions can control who has access to the frequency. As is stands, if you /setfrequency to the right station, you have unlimited access even if you're not supposed to. For example, if you're given the frequency to a company's radio, you can see it in your chatbox unless you change off that frequency. Let's say you are fired from the company, you wouldn't be able to IC'ly use that frequency anymore. However, it's definitely an occurrence where people stay on the frequency for OOC and often malicious purposes such as metagaming and trolling purposes. I suggest to be able to have commands to register a frequency to a specific business name as the owner, then be able to have permissions to add and remove people from having access to the frequency as they see fit. In the event that someone is removed / fired from the business, they can be removed and will no longer be able to /setfrequency to that specific frequency anymore. Relevant Commands/Items: /registerfrequency (BusinessName) (CharacterName) (Frequency#) - Register business frequency /afreq (Frequency Number) (Character Name) - Add people /rfreq (Frequency Number) (Character Name) - Remove people How will it benefit the server?: Less potential for metagaming and malicious use. People continue to remain on the frequency and have shown tendencies to continue listening to them even when they shouldn't. Sure, you could just report them if you can get proof. Often times this doesn't happen. This is honestly just a QoL suggestion that would benefit the server as a whole by reducing the potential malicious issues this creates. Kassandra
I mean, if you still have the tools you can absolutely still access those frequencies. Better idea is to have your company regularly change frequencies in the name of operation security. Especially if you've just let some people go. Link to comment
