Benjamin Cerone is a blue collar laborer and an extremely naïve local odd jobber since his inception into the public eye during the late 2000s. He dabbled in construction, city maintenance, landscaping and was allegedly involved in calling card scams for very popular credit coupons which included PAY-G phone store credit gift cards. As the scam came to light, Benjamin fell back to his work in construction contracting to avoid a potential run-in with law enforcement. While unbeknownst to authorities, Cerone also managed  to touch down with local figures in Los Santos' East Beach area in recent years which led to an eventual arrest of four suspects on December 1st, 2023 on the charges of kidnapping, battery and theft of a firearm following a short-lived pursuit with an unsuccessful escape on a freeway near Mount Zancudo, San Andreas. The Los Santos Police Department worked in conjunction with the LSPD's SWAT division' response to apprehend Cerone and his three accomplices.

THE STORY SO FAR

Following the discovery of the calling card PAY-G credit scam masterminded by long-time East Beach neighborhood local Charles "Chucky" Palermo with the aid of Benjamin Cerone, Cerone opted to return to his legitimate sources of income of construction and city maintenance for a variety of companies through a public contracting agency. It was at this time that he met the likes of John "Half-Ass" Bardi better known to him as "Johnny" down the grapevine, a former affiliate member of a fractured Amato crew and frequenter of The Red Piano. Benjamin Cerone' considerable time spent with Bardi as his ears to the street led to his eventual meeting of former malavita member David "Slick" Borghese. Joseph "Joe" Giordano came into the equation the following week upon hearing Half-Ass John's return to Los Santos and caught the next flight into the city immediately with Cerone assisting in his arrival on John's orders.

DECEMBER 1ST, 2023

According to a story published by Weazel News, four suspects were expected to be released from prison following a five-month stint in Bolingbroke County Jail for egregious charges of which all were tried, pronounced guilty and convicted. Prison records from correctional officers within the county jail report that three of the four were involved in a scuffle between themselves and members of a white prison gang which held a majority ruling on their side of the house. The three suspects, all Italian-Americans, were moved into Bolingbroke's Segregated Housing Unit for the remainder of their sentences for their conflict. Records show that the responding correctional officers were "afraid for the safety of those involved" due to the assault on a prominent member of the aforementioned group. Cerone was also noted down on file as being quote "extremely confrontational" and "should be placed alone" as a result of his comments regarding the opposing party. CCTV footage from a terrace camera captures the moment at which Benjamin Cerone and David "Slick" Borghese retaliated against an angered peckerwood after a minor dispute over a cell re-assignment, leaving lasting injuries on both him and another. A convicted John Bardi made parole the month following their integration into the SHU.

RELEASE

Released and put back into the street, Cerone was recorded on gatehouse footage stepping back into a used white Lexus with three other older individuals and taking a right on the Los Santos Freeway, assumed to be returning to Los Santos city limits. They maintained their distance between one another for a period of time before returning back into association. Confronted now with a new threat of bankruptcy and public ridicule for their actions on December the 1st of that year, Cerone prioritized his work ethic and is beholden to the price of his actions which is the roadblock of being an ex-convicted felon. As far as official reports from authorities or news figures, nothing else has been heard of or witnessed as of late.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW

Without supplemental coverage on the whereabouts and current activities surrounding the post-release of Benjamin Cerone (aside from the knowledge of his earned nickname "Benny" as a shorthand version of his legal first name) and the relevant cronies, accurate information on this individual is sparse and may be unknown. It is rumoured that he has recently taken employment in a start-up sanitation business Starlight Sanitation LLC due to a lack of businesses that accept former convicted felons. Police records describe Benjamin Cerone as a twenty-four year old six foot white male who is one hundred and eighty-five pounds.
