LJB
I was recently arrested for misdemeanour obstruction but it was incorrectly entered as a felony on the MDC which added three criminal points to my account. Link to comment
apothecalypse
Ask the judge on your case to update it. Charges can be upgraded (misdemeanor to felony) and vice versa. As such criminal points can be added and also removed. 1 Link to comment
Frakkennewguy
More than that, it's a good bit of IC development if you choose to take it that way. You could sue the department that incorrectly charged you, maybe get the case thrown out entirely. Link to comment
Jacooob
Take it to court is my advice! Things like this can be resolved IC'ly 🙂 Link to comment
Rain
I can heavily agree on the sue part. Whenever I sued people, it was great roleplay with the lawyer and other parties. Also if your char is crime oriented, it will be great development and a statement to win in the legal system. Link to comment
LJB
How can OOC criminal points be handled IC? @Jacooob @Frakkennewguy Edited October 8, 2023 by LJB Link to comment
Rain
Criminal points are not particularly OOC, as they clearly affect your character IC. Criminal points lead to IC consequences, therefore the logical consequence is to try to handle it IC. The incorrect input in the MDC is basically an IC mistake by the handling LEO. Link to comment

You wouldn't for instance sue the department to "Get my criminal points removed" you'd sue them to "Have my records expunged". Link to comment
