Growing up Iris attended Little Seoul Elementary School & West Vespucci Middle School where she met most of her friends during her childhood who she's still friends with to this day, later on as she transitioned into high school; attending Henry Li High School located in Little Seoul. While attending Henry Li High, she became friends with several others who were also from the same neighborhood she was from; making it easier for her to fit into high school on her first day there. As Iris grew older, towards her mid-late teens she began to add two and two together and eventually partially figure out what her father was doing. Not knowing everything but knowing enough she began to snoop around and eventually ran into several bricks of cocaine one night which were stashed under one of the cushions on the sofa. Iris took one of the bricks not thinking it was much and brought it to a friend of hers from high school. Iris and her friend began to look for buyers but without any luck, they struggled and started to wonder if it was the right choice to try and sell it. Eventually one night the duo managed to get the brick of cocaine off of their hands by selling it to another Asian male right outside of her parents' residence, now considering that the brick went missing a few days prior and the fact she sold it right outside of her father's residence it didn't take much for her father's friend to add two and two up and put it together and figure out it was Iris who had stolen the brick. Being caught red-handed selling the brick of cocaine her father's friend gave her two options, to either work for him or he'd return the brick back to her father and tell him what happened. After being offered to work for her father's friend; Wo, she accepted the offer in fear of disappointing her father if he was to find out what she had done. After accepting the offer to work for Wo, Iris became a drug dealer for him on the streets; often selling cocaine for him out of a trap house in Littel Seoul and paying kick-up to him once a month. From the age of sixteen to the age of eighteen Iris dealt cocaine for Wo on the streets of Little Seoul, after turning eighteen years old; Wo put Iris up to an even bigger challenge. After turning eighteen Iris was offered to smuggle drugs from the state of Hawaii to the state of San Andreas for Wo via air transport in-which Iris accepted the offer once again going even deeper into the criminal underworld of organized crime. After seven months of smuggling drugs from Hawaii to San Andreas; Iris was introduced to a red pole from the 14k Triad known as Harold who offered her money in exchange to personally smuggle his product from the state of Hawaii to Vice City, in-which Iris accepted his offer. Working for an enforcer and a red pole from the 14k Triad behind her father's back wasn't an easy thing to do as she knew she was dishonoring her father although he never knew what she was doing. From the age of eighteen to twenty-one; Iris smuggled cocaine from Hawaii to San Andreas and also to Vice City at times for Harold. While smuggling drugs for the duo she also began to rip both of them off by taking zero points one of a gram out of every one gram of cocaine that she smuggled between the three states, she then filled the zero points one of each and every one of those grams with powder. After ripping Harold and Wo off for a tiny amount of cocaine per gram; Iris began to stack up everything she took from each gram and eventually sold the cocaine once she had an ounce of her own that she could sell on the streets, this pretty much helped her make even more money and the best part was it was all hers, no kick-ups were required when doing this but she did run the risk of being caught doing it. Eventually, after a couple of months of doing this, her father grew suspicious of her leaving at odd times during the day and coming back rather late at night or early in the morning the following morning. He set out to follow her and one night he caught her in the act. When caught in the act of ripping off Wo and Harold her father didn't exactly know whose product it was but he eventually got it out of her and as any loving father would do, he began to help Iris; going behind his own society's back, helping his daughter with the skimping scheme. As time went on; Iris eventually moved out of her parents' apartment in Little Seoul and bought her own place in the north side of the city, with the help of her father she was also introduced to various other businessmen and businesswomen who were both legal and illegal, some of which she'd often get product off of others who'd help her clean her cash through their legal businesses. As Iris' grew in the business she eventually brought her little sister; May into it and had her dealing the narcotics on the street while Iris herself handled business with business owners. After a couple of months, Iris's rip-off scheme on a 14k enforcer; Wo became noticed slowly as Wo caught onto it and began to add two and two up, it didn't take long for him to figure out Iris was going behind his back and ripping him off with his own product as she was the only one who handled his product yet she never knew this. After two weeks of Wo noticing what was happening, instead of telling others about it he decided to go handle it himself and kidnap Iris as she was walking to her residency's door one night. After kidnapping her he brought to her an unknown location to an abandoned storage lot where he held her for a couple of weeks before eventually telling her father and another insider from within the 14k Triad. After being held captive by Wo for over three weeks, Iris's father and another insider were told about the situation. This was a big mistake on Wo's part, counting the fact that not only did he tell her father but the other insider whom he called about it was also close friends with Iris' father. This made the entire situation turn out completely different from what Wo had planned for it to turn out like, her father and the other insider who was called to the abandoned storage lot ended up kidnapping Wo and freeing Iris from captivity. Over the course of the next following weeks, they tortured him; not for information but for kidnapping Iris, counting the fact that Wo was an enforcer for 14k, so was her father and the other insider was a well-respected member of the triad it pretty much showed that the triad wasn't all about brotherhood after all, although this was already shown after Iris' father helped her rip off his own organization. Eventually, after a couple of weeks of being tortured, Iris' father brought her back to where they were holding him and allowed his daughter to murder the person who kidnapped her. Iris executed Wo at point-blank range with a pistol, this went without saying that the triad was out for blood but Iris' father managed to pin Wo's murder on a couple of gang-bangers from South Central Los Santos.
