WESTSIDE ROLLIN 50 BRIMS The Van Ness Gangsters also known as the Van Ness Gangster Brims or the Rollin 50 Brims are a predominantly African-American gang in South Los Santos located near 54th Street and Van Ness / Strawberry Avenue. The Van Ness Gangsters are a Blood gang that fall under the Brim alliance which consists of multiple different Blood sets. They're allied with the Fruit Town Brims and Harvard Park Brims forming the Fruit Harvard Ness alliance. They are also on good terms with West side Damu sets such as Neighborhood Piru and Inglewood Family Gangster Bloods. The Van Ness Gangsters consist of several different cliques such as the 51st street, 52nd street, 54th street, and the 57th street. All these cliques in the 50s are known as the Rollin 50 Brims. Their main rivals are all of the Neighborhood Crip sets, especially Rollin 60's, Rollin 40's, Rollin 30's, and the 55 Neighborhood Crips. Their other rivals are all of the Hoover sets, 18th Street, White Fence, and MS-13. THE DEATH OF INKFANKT NKESS On December 18th, 2016, a well respected member of the Van Ness Gangster Brims gang, Veshone Harley, known better by his alias Infant Ness was standing in front of a corner store on Strawberry Avenue near an ongoing house party he had attended just 20 minutes prior. A couple of minutes later, two hooded individuals believed to be members of a bordering rival gang named Menlo Neighborhood Crips entered the store, Veshone spotted the duo and decided to follow them inside to confront them. In a drunken state, Veshone shouted at them and started asking where they're from. The duo begin to throw up Menlo Crip related gang signs, after Veshone told the duo he was from Van Ness Gangster Brims, a fight broke out inside the store which eventually led to both of the Menlo Crip members losing the fight. 20 minutes pass by and both of the Menlo Crips jog back to the area and find Infant Ness, the both start opening fire on him. Infant Ness was shot around 20 times and died on the scene.
