Gang Banging In LS The gang banging culture in San Andreas is unique in its own ways, from Vespucci to South Central, the gang culture has influenced lots of families in poverty. Back in the day gang members would often depict themselves by the color of clothing they had on, or in other words; Color bang. Now a-days, gang members depict themselves through Major League Baseball, and team's logos. Gang members disrespect rival gangs with derogatory slang. Using everyday words like "French Fries", "Hot Pockets", "Meatloafs", or even "Booty Holes" can get you beat up, or even killed if said in the wrong side of town. Another very crucial piece to San Andreas banging is graffiti and gang hit-ups. Gang members will go to rival gang influenced neighborhoods or landmarks, and spray-paint disrespectful messages onto them, this form of gang banging is often referred to as 'tag banging'. However, most gangbanging goes on in social media platforms, mainly Facebrowser or YouTube. Gang members will often use these platforms to boast about what they've done to their rivals. Gang banging used to be about getting money and protecting your own neighborhood, now it's mostly just young kids wanting to be cool, fit in, and eventually "crash out." Gang Presence in Prison Gangs operate differently in prison, many of them falling under "cars" in which they function under while behind bars. Cars are made up of incarcerated members who share the same race and/or ethnic background as one another. If rival gang members are to come across each other in prison, they're expected to settle their beef right then and there, and remain like that as long as they're in prison. Prisons are heavily segregated and you're expected to stick with your own people. Mexicans stick with each other and handle politics more seriously, blacks are the most hated group between the Hispanics and whites. The White Car's hatred towards black prisoners is so strong, that they'll go against the Blacks at any chance they can get. Although black and brown prisoners can be seen somewhat together, in prison the Hispanics show more interest in siding with the whites or remaining as a neutral group that will go against any that seem out of place, but usually clique with the whites in a mutual hatred towards the blacks. Jamestown Street The district of South Central is experiencing one of its deadliest years yet, with the murder rate on the rise leaving thousands of residents outraged. South Central is plagued with drugs, homelessness, street gangs, and violence. The low annual income of many households in South Central paired with the high housing prices is a recipe for disaster. The average South-Central teenager is faced with two options, sell drugs, or play basketball. And, 9/10, they'll choose option 1. A large number of murders in South Central are a result of gang violence. Rival gang members will often taunt and insult each other on social media, further fueling their hatred for one another. The streets of South Central are no stranger to gangs, including Jamestown Street; a relatively lengthy street in South Central which the 107 Hoover Criminal Gang inhabits. Other notably active street gangs in South Central consist of the Rolling 90s Neighborhood Crips, Rolling 60s Neighborhood Crips, Grape Street Rancho Crips, Tongan Crip Gang, Tree Top Piru, Florencia 13, and the 59 Hoover Criminals Gang. 107 Hoover Criminals Gang 107 Hoover Criminals Gang, formerly known as the 107 Hoover Crips Gang, also go by 107 Groove Gang or Selos is a longstanding set of an African-American street gang based on Jamestown Street. The 107 Hoover Criminals Gang are an active subset of the Hoover Criminals umbrella. To pay respect to the fallen members that were active before them, the younger generation often refers to themselves as 107 Groove Gang. The 107 Hoovers were founded in the 1970s on 107th and Hoover Street, located in between Covenant Avenue and Roy Lowenstein Boulevard. The 107 Hoovers are allied with a Hoover Criminals Gang subset that's closest to them, which is the 112 Hoover Criminals Gang, and are friendly with all of the other Hoover Criminals sets. Due to having a common enemy, the Selos are friendly towards the Eight Tray Gangster Crips and Gardena Shotgun Crips. They are rivals of 105 Underground Crips, 107 Underground Crips, 102 Budlong Gangster Crips, 102 Raymond Ave Crips, the Pimp Town Gangster Crips and the 104 Hard Time Hustler Crips. They're also hostile towards most of the Neighborhood Crips (NHC) gangs. The Hoovers relationship with Grapes Hoover sets have formed certain alliances that differentiate themselves from other sets along South Central. Being close in the area of Rancho, the Eastside Grapes and the 107 Hoover Criminal Gang share the same enemies with all Neighborhood and Mafia Crips, showing very common interest in one another. At a function thrown by 107, the Hoovers, Stones, & Grapes were all seen throwing up gang signs as a collective. On the other side of Rancho, resides a factoring gang known as Bounty Hunter Rancho Bloods, whom are sworn enemies of the Grapes. The rivalry between these two gangs date back to the late 90's, which has resulted in the death of dozens, and shows no signs of stopping soon. Hoovers on the other hand, have stayed clear out of the way although they're allied with Grape. They have no interest in involving themselves in beefs that have went on for decades without them.
