OOC Information: The Van Ness Gangster Brims was made to portray the real life Van Ness Gangster Brims. The group are known to be a dangerous and hard gang to be around especially when it comes to getting your put on. They are known to have many enemies and aren't scared to call out their beefs. When joining the group, you must place down your resident-information in the discord and send any questions to the leadership if you have any. Characters must be portrayed slowly and correctly with their own traits. Ages should be around 13-15 years of age. W/S Van Ness Gangster Brims The Van Ness Gangster Brims (VNG) also being called The Rollin' 50s Brims is an active and dangerous African-American street gang located on the West Side of South Central, Los Santos. Their territory is on Forum Dr, between the BJ Smith Recreational Center and Chamberlain Hills. The Van Ness Gangsters consist of several cliques such as 51th Street, 52th Street, 54th Street, and 57th Street Van Ness Gangster Brims. All of these cliques are in the Chamberlain-Strawberry area. The Van Ness Gangster Brims fall under the Brim umbrella with sets from the Westside like the Fruit Town Brims and their closest allies the Harvard Park Brims. The Van Ness Gangster Brims have an ongoing war with most Mexican-gangs against African Americans. They also aren't afraid to beef with any Crip Gangs and have huge hate for the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips, Rollin 40s Neighborhood Crips, Rollin 30s Harlem Crips, and all other sets under the Neighborhood Crip umbrella. The Van Ness Gangster Brims are known to be one of the hardest gangs to get put onto and the most dangerous to hang around, especially when it comes to provoking them. BJ Smith Recreational Center The BJ Smith Recreational Center and the park was founded by Benjamin Smith in the 1980s right behind Van Ness in the park. A lot of the younger generation participates in the sports that the Recreational Center provides, like Football and Basketball. They're known to be one of the best teams in South Central and are currently being run by Coach Harold for basketball, and Coach Murphy for football. They claim the Recreational Center keeps the teenagers off the street, also gaining them scholarships to go to other schools. But most of these children turn to the streets due to their living area, especially with the low-income and the neglect of the government to Chamberlain Hills. Being one of the best teams, allowed there to be funding for the center but the money would be kept to the owners as they wouldn't pay front to any of the kids for their talent and things for their parents. Which doesn't help the situation of other teenagers in the Chamberlain Hills area. Present Day Van Ness Brims: 2021 The Van Ness Gangster Brims are currently a hot-headed group, being known in Los Santos as a hard gang to get down with, they keep the mindset of having no one who is "soft" become one of them. The young generation currently are passive though, they haven't been provoking anyone leaving people alone with their being new people from their set. There isn't a doubt at any moment will they strike a beef with another set and their main beef with the Rollin 60's who appeared at their park sending threats to their hood multiple times. Innocence High School Innocence High School was founded in the Strawberry District. This was the areas very first school that opened in 1888 at the start of this school, there were only two classes, and the population of the school grew overtime. Innocence High School eventually got polluted with gangs after the 1960s. With the start of the street-gangs during this time, everyone started to get down with the movement, where the bloods broke off and was made. Chamberlain is claimed to be a "Blood Bity" with the bloods taking over the area. Innocence High School is home to the streets gangs like the 83 Gangster Crips, Hoover Criminals, a minority of the Rollin 90s Neighborhood Crips. Most faces from these schools can relate back to the Van Ness area but, most also aren't put onto the street gang. Government officials have claimed plenty of times about the Strawberry area being one of the most dangerous areas to live in. South Central holds a very high crime rate when it comes to murders, drug dealers, and prostitution. There are also most broken homes with their being an either-or missing parent to guide children and steer them into a correct path. Other teenagers would say growing up with their closest friends helps them grow up while older people in the game attempt to widen the eyes of the young generation.
