I think you didn't understand my question here. The big ? is: Why would you report someone when you're not involved or you weren't harmed? What do you win with that?

So people learn to follow rules in the future?

I agree, making petty reports only adds to the pile of reports admins have to work through before they can get to the serious reports. We need to reduce the work load on admins as much as possible since they already have it bad enough as it is. We need to make their jobs easier not harder.

I wonder what is the solution... oh wait... Don't break rules!

Reports can also be used for educating people. Don't always have to go for the punishment. Calling reports petty though is kinda cringe. Just trying to make excuses for those small rule breaks people do.

  2. Follow rules and you have nothing to fear. It's simple as that.

People call reports petty, often to try to hide their own rule break. It's always funny to see people calling report on them petty, and then they end up getting punished for obvious rule break.

  3. I have always hated Nervous for paywalling the interior mapping. Let me map and make the place owner pay, but nooo. I would have to pay some insane prices to place pixel furniture for someone else.

What we all have to think about in regards to realism is that yes, vehicles being used in robberies happens in real life. That being said, the ratio of criminals to everyday people in the server is SUPER inflated in comparison to real life. The frequency of robberies are also much higher. We have a realistic crime rate of 495 violent crimes per 100,000 people per year in California by estimates in 2022, that number is largely inflated here. The argument for why? This is a game, which is the same argument that's used to restrict the amount of robberies that is affecting other people's RP. Is the rule dumb? Yep. Is it probably needed for RP quality? Also yep!

I think the restricted crime areas were a step in the right direction to allow the overall rules to relax a bit, but, it's hard to find a happy middle ground in the age old debate of crims rp v civi rp. The two depend on each other and one can't suffocate the other.

Hey now... Stop bringing voice of reason to these forums. We only care about chaos.

  6. Detailed Description: Like the title says, would be nice to have ability to filter the suggested people by showing only ones with mutual friends and perhaps a choice even on the amount of mutual friends. So for example, it would suggest only people that have 10+ mutual friends.

    Relevant Commands/Items: None.

How will it benefit the server? Could avoid all the dead accounts and find the ones that are more relevant.

  7. Rules are by product of people not knowing how to behave properly. So I'm sure staff had enough of people doing subpar robberies and added the rule.

Honestly they could remove the rule for about week and then show what massive jump in the usage of /rob command happened with the rule gone OR if there was no effect with the rule gone, keep it gone, but I highly doubt that will be the case. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
