So, as far as I know that GTA V is a new generation game and the scripting is more advanced than GTA SA. So, why don't you add an engine key like you press J to turn the engine off and on, and adding handbrakes for the car by using G. So, instead of doing /engine we use a key to turn the engine on. Thanks.
