  1. I've got to admit I'm pretty happy where GTA:W is at the minute.
  2. Chinese immigration to the United States of America occurred in three waves, first beginning in the 19th century. Chinese immigrants at this time worked as laborers, particularly working on the transcontinental railroad, such as the Central Pacific Railroad, as well as working within the mining industry and majorly suffered racial discrimination throughout every level of society. In 1882 the United States congressed passed the legislature known as the Chinese Exclusion Act, which prohibited immigrations from China for the next decade, which was later extended by the Geary Act in 1892. In 1924 the legislature was once again passed barring further entries of Chinese, although those already in the United States had been ineligible for citizenship since the previous year. It has only been since the 1940s when the United States and China became allied during World War II, did the situation for Chinese American began to improve, from restrictions on entry to the country, naturalization as well as mixed marriage were lessened. As of 2010 United States Census, there are now more than 3.3 million Chinese in the United States, totalling more than 1% of the population. Bringing in the year of the Pig, both Edward Tsai and William Mao exclaimed that this was going to be their year. The Tianjin Circle (天津圈) is a group of young Asian-Americans, particularly of Chinese descent, which was started in the latter half of 2018. Originating from the Hawick area of Los Santos and coined the ‘Alta Boys’ at the time, the two originating members both—William Mao and Edward Tsai—began their journey towards criminal stardom, to escape the common 9-5 working day. With connections to older, more traditional, Chinese secret societies, the group had set up a foothold which dealt with narcotics. It wasn’t too long before they started supplying gangs across South Los Santos, namely around the Rancho area. Our aim is to portray a realistic, modern generation of Asian youth. We intend on starting at the very bottom and working our way up. This doesn't necessarily mean that we will be working or involved in violent crimes. If you're looking for a generic gang, or organized crime unit, then this thread and roleplay is not for you. You will be expected to roleplay your character fully and not just for the sake of the faction. To those who seek to roleplay with us, we ask that your roleplay must be performed in a realistic manner, follow all in-game and forum rules. Do not expect that roleplay will be created for you, but that you will be expected to create your own roleplay and develop your character around said roleplay. If you’re looking to roleplay with us or would like to be a part of it, feel free to private message myself, or Siglim, here on the forum or by joining our faction Discord server (https://discord.gg/ZYsR2qv); together we will think of a way for your character into the group. Our goal is to roleplay our characters to their fullest extent. Roleplay and development comes first. Please understand whilst the thread will showcase the development of the characters and their ongoings, it is not our highest priority and our priority is in-game activity. The faction and its upper hierarchy reserve the right to Character Kill, if it’s deemed absolutely necessary, this will be a last resort.
