Often tormented by the abuse of his father who was possessed by alcoholism, he struggled at first. He was not the only victim, however. It wasn't until the hospitalisation of his mother that Austyn was removed from the destructive environment of what was supposedly his home. His home, not only divided by the abuse he and his mother suffered but also divided in love, presented two separate parental personalities: the gentle nature of his mother coupled with the brutality of his father. Austyn's mother, Elira, cared deeply for Austyn from the moment she instinctively detected him in her womb. At that time, his father too was excited to meet his flesh and blood, unknowing of the pain he would later cause him and his mother. It was only Elira who continued to love for Austyn. Freeing him from the turmoil of his upbringing, Elira's final wish was to ensure Austyn's survival, and to entrust his care to his maternal grandparents, who stayed in San Andreas, where she herself once lived in a past life. Conversely, Austyn's time with his parents is his own past life. Thinking of his mother now, it both saddens him to realise she would be a stranger to who he has become, and comforts him in the knowledge that he is his mother's achievement, far from the circumstances he escaped long ago. When he moved across the pond, Austyn promised to himself that he would fulfil his mother's clear wish for his success in life. It was up to him how he would go about accomplishing this. Austyn excelled academically. At the time obsessed, unhealthily or otherwise, with the moral dilemma in his mind when approaching his father's alcoholism, torn between recognising how it affected his once model father and the consequences it had on his family, Austyn enrolled at the University of San Andreas, Los Santos, studying philosophy. He later went on to study law in his graduate years, a passion he developed as a result of critical thinking involved in reading philosophy; critical thinking which brought him to a conclusion with his father, and with his past. All that he carries with him now is his unmistakable weegie accent. Success was still on the horizon for Austyn, however. For someone like him, it always is... Especially in a stagnant job market like this! : Fresh out of law school, Austyn takes up taxiing to pay the bills. Still struggling to find meaningful work to match his qualifications, Austyn is later employed by Lindemann-Displace Security Services, perhaps seeking a medium to vent long held frustrations. New to the security industry, however, he didn't score five stars for his choice of camouflage... Austyn and his Lindemann colleagues train out in the desert. Austyn sentries one of a hired yacht's decks in his capacity as a security operative. Austyn, stranded, takes a ride in the squatting vessel thanks to a kind stranger. Austyn, through greed pursued by his insatiable lust for success, knowingly begins a nefarious partnership after unintentionally assisting in the gravest of crimes. Thus, revealing his limitless extent of opportunism. Austyn continues to mingle in Sodom. Austyn enjoys a cigarette after perfecting another landing on his favourite yacht. Austyn enjoys commanding people to spread 'em on his last day of employment under Lindemann, having also worked with Milano secretly at the same time until now. Austyn enjoys some vanilla diving under careful instruction, as opposed to his regular skydiving. The ocean hides a great beauty... Austyn leaves the security business behind, instead opting to hire his own security as newly-appointed City Councilor for Vespucci, Del Perro, and Pacific Bluffs. Don't mess with Georgios or he'll get the bat and sort you oot! No one gets the bat reference... and important questions are asked. More equally important questions are asked... Something stinks of corruption... Austyn's helicopter knows ALL his darkest secrets, one of few witnesses to the more than questionable activities of his past... Aye... definitely corruption... Austyn retires from the political sphere, leaving the deeds of the past behind once more as he begins practising law, looking to better himself and help others... Austyn meets Zane Field, sharing a fruitful endeavour... Austyn soars above political corruption, again seeking refuge in the skies as an escape from the monotony of life and the horrors grounded in his past. Austyn may have escaped his past, but the division his house suffered has made its mark on him. Genuinely loving for the people he serves in the law, and yet in other ways completely self-obsessed with his own success, Austyn bears the split his home once had on him as a child. A mysterious figure by all means, and an adaptive personality, Austyn only presents himself to people in the way that suits him, depending on his measure of the person.
