offscourings of society Posted November 16, 2023 Share Posted November 16, 2023 (edited) Proudly Provincial Since 1915... 2 men arrested following violent home invasion in Grapeseed Maise Parker SENORA BEACON JOURNALIST Published 12:48 a.m. PDT November 14, 2022 GRAPESEED, S.A. — Two men were arrested after their alleged involvement in a home invasion in Grapeseed. Thursday just after 2:30 a.m., sheriffs were called out to a house near East Joshua Road. When officers arrived, they found a man and woman who were bleeding from the head. Investigators learned that two suspects, one armed, had entered the house and demanded money. One of the suspects allegedly pistol-whipped both adult victims when they learned that there was no money inside the house. LSSD said that the suspects allegedly threatened to kill the victims if they did not get their money. Both adult victims were eventually able to escape from the home and left the two children inside of the room. The adults went to a neighbor's house and called 911. LSSD found the two children uninjured in the home of the victims upon arrival. They continued to look for the suspects, who were spotted in a van near Union Road. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and both suspects were taken into custody. The suspects were identified by LSSD as Jude Moore, 31, of Grapeseed and Wayne Rees, 22, of El Burro Heights. According to sources, a loaded .40 caliber gun was found on Moore's person. “There are no other known suspects at-large thanks to the efforts of the Los Santos County Sherrif's Department. This violent crime is particularly disturbing. The LSSD will be further investigating this incident,” law enforcement officials stated in a news release. Rees has been booked on conspiracy to commit home invasion robbery. Moore was booked on recommended charges of kidnapping, assault with a firearm, robbery, child endangerment and being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to the LSSD.
