  1. "The speed you're clocked at IC is your speed" - then the fact that the roads were empty and there was 0 traffic and 0 pedestrians should also be IC? I guess not. Things are taken IC only when they suit the agenda of getting PD officers more arrests I guess.

Yeah, since this was decided way before the report was even created and we're not in the mood to be reasonable, I guess I'm forced to roleplay out the arrest or face a ban. Arrested for running away from a police officer who was a mile behind me, and vehicular endangerment on a road with no traffic of pedestrians - nice! @DARKK gratz dude you've made it.

Idk if I'll be able to login this weekend, but can continue when I login on Monday.

    Cheers.

  2. - Driving at 100mph - you're taking this IC, alright

    - The roads are literally empty and not a SINGLE other player/vehicle was around - but here you're saying "Oh but IRL there would be traffic and obstacles" - well, then IRL you can consider my 100mph as 60mph. It goes both ways.

    - Not slowing down for corners - If I didn't, I wouldn't be able to turn. The faster turns I made were on curved roads, not sharp turns. And these turns are also a reason I didn't notice him for a while. I bought this new car only a couple days ago (you can check) and was just speeding to test its limits and handling, not having a clue that this guy was on my tail.

    - Whenever I managed to stop just fine before - it's because the cops were actually close to me unlike this person who was a mile behind.

    - Going by your logic, every time someone breaks a few traffic rules and takes a little longer than usual to stop, it is always an arrest, right? With this logic, pulling over would /never/ make sense anymore, you'd just want to keep evading till you escape, because pulling over = arrest apparently.

Make it all make sense, you can't. One last time - let's stop trying to force this as an arrest - it is a fine at best, maybe multiple fines, but it cannot be more. If you're RPing obstacles and traffic IRL, RP the speed realistically too. It's impossible to drive at 100mph IRL in a city, but in GTA, when you have a fast car, it goes to that speed in seconds. You can't just RP that part of this as IRL and the other as "Oh but it would be different IRL".

You're literally saying "I will consider the GTA mechanic of a car going 100 mph in 3 seconds as realistic, but I will not consider the GTA server mechanic of roads being empty as realistic" - you're contradicting yourself. Either make realistic assumptions for both, or take both instances IC. You can't use two different logics for two different things.

The driver was speeding - he ran intersections - he pulled over when the cop showed up. He gets fined. Simple as that. If you still want to justify this powergaming arrest, okay. I guess that's how things are done on this server now.

You broke the law, you've just admitted you did so you clearly know you did so. The officer was well within his rights to stop you and had the means to do so, given he caught you up, there's no powergame there. The fact you never play with audio on aside, you've been pulled over numerous times and thus likely have a record of warnings. What made this time so different?

@DARKK, was it your intention to arrest Mr Walker? Do you have footage of the pursuit leading up to the stop at all?

"What made this time so different"' - the fact that every time when I got pulled over for breaking traffic rules, it's a "fine" and not an "arrest". Never in the last 6 years. The difference here is this person assuming that I was 'evading' and hence trying to get an arrest, which is not realistic nor true.

The whole reason he is arresting me is because he thought I was trying to "escape" him, but as you can clearly see in his very own video recording, I was extremely far ahead of him. I literally did not see him chasing me. When I saw him, I stopped. So ICly, this should be seen as me driving fast, cop sees me, comes closer to me, asks me to pull over, and I pull over. In real life, this leads to a fine, not an arrest, this is where the PG comes in. he's just trying to 'assume' that I was trying to escape and is hence, trying to make an arrest. It makes no sense. Like I said, every single time I've been pulled over for traffic rules, it is always only a fine, never an arrest. An arrest here is PG / abusing rights.

Again, look at the distance between me and the police car, it is a mile away. Also the video shows, unlike this guy saying 2 minutes, the whole thing was around under a minute, and I clearly stopped when I saw him as he got close. It can never be an arrest IRL, it is a fine any day yes.

Also, no need to slap vehicular endangerment here, I never went off the road, please stop trying to abuse your powers @DARKK - you clearly made the arrest because you thought I was 'running' from you. If I had stopped in let's say 30 seconds, you wouldn't have tried the arrest. Just because you were too far away from me and I didn't notice you, you can't just throw a random accusation and force an arrest, it's Powergaming.

My only ask here is - we continue the RP, we keep it IC, but an arrest would be literal powergaming, we stick to how things are in real life - the driver gets fined for breaking traffic rules, simple as that. No need to complicate it further and accuse me of evading when I clearly wasn't.

  4. Happy to continue where we left off.

    Edit:

I quit because these people were being annoying / PGing and I didn't want to end up saying something I'd regret later.

FYI I still don't agree with this - the guy was apparently chasing me and I was magically supposed to know even though he was miles behind me, I don't remember him being anywhere near, and because I had no audio, I didn't hear him either. Only towards the end of a minute did he appear close enough for me to notice him visually, and as soon as I noticed, I stopped and pulled over. It's completely unrealistic to arrest someone over this, it doesn't happen IRL. But I guess because he's in the PD faction, they get to do whatever they want, they get to PG, and it's all IC right? Powergaming to get arrests is allowed if you're in the PD it appears. I've been on this server since 2017, this never happened before even though I've been pulled over countless times, it was either a fine or just a warning, I usually never play with audio, and usually always notice if a cop car is right behind me.

This guy was NOWHERE close, I can assure you that. When I first saw him, I was going past him, he was going the opposite way, I passed him at 100+ mph, he literally must have hit the brakes, turned around, and started chasing me. By then, I would've been more than half a mile ahead of him. No wonder I didn't notice him. If he was anywhere close, I had no reason to keep going. The more I think about this, the funnier it gets how badly this guy wants an arrest and is pulling the "It's all IC" card to get it, and even funnier is the fact that an admin doesn't see anything wrong with it. The standards are going down clearly.
