  1. I think a lot of people are missing the point of this update. The whole point of making corpses save is to deter criminals from committing murders. It won't happen on its own but if the police conducts their investigations, finds the murderer, and slap the character with a long jail sentence, with enough murderers locked up, people with established characters will think twice before jumping to murder.

It's meant to give an IC and OOC incentive for people to RP the fear of committing a murder. PK or CK.

The real conversation should be about jail times for murderers, murders done by new or throwaway characters, and what happens if a convicted murderer changes names.

The suggestions forum is mostly full of idiotic ideas, shitposting & toxicity. It's very rare that anything constructive comes from pages of useless arguments from players crying for an idea that everyone with common sense knows will never happen. Devs have to sift through all these and figure out which ones actually have merit and which should take priority, others perhaps don't have enough CONSTRUCTIVE feedback from the community for devs to make a decision. So they cherry pick the ones they think should be implemented first.

I don’t know who shat in your coffee this morning but I’m looking at the first page of the game suggestion section (the one that concerns game devs) and none of the titles strike me as idiotic or shitposts, so there’s no need for hostility in this thread. Besides the only toxic comment in this thread happens to be yours.

Weird take but okay? So I should let a murderer go cause ''the pursuit is taking too long''. PD already has internal rules about pursuits but that ain't it. Being okay with having more fuel than the same model of car shows a clear play2win attitude.

If with 10 cruisers, an air unit, spike strips, teamspeak communication, and BOLOs in the aftermath you still can’t catch a suspect then that’s just incompetence. Having that many resources is play2win.

And no, many cars were nerfed while their LEO counterparts are more powerful. That’s play2win.

After some testing, it appears that police vehicles are heavily affected by this update. Example:

The civilian Scout has a 25L gas tank, the PD version only a 10L gas tank.

Many civilian trucks have a realistic tank for well...being a truck 25L up to 30L, however! Even the bigger PD vehicles eg. Alamo....Granger, CaraCara all possess a tank of a mere 10L.

This is not cool and should be looked into ASAP. As it stands right now, a civilian driving the same Scout as PD can just evade for 30 minutes before every cop runs out of gas, leaving them with fuel in the tank to successfully get away! I hope you understand my concerns for this update now.

    @FatCatTuxedo

Or you can stagger fuel stops. If someone evades for 30 minutes then idk there should probably be internal rules for not chasing people for that long. Call it balance after getting all those civilian cars nerfed because cops complained cough Torrence.

  5. I agree that if it affects cars, it should affect all cars, faction vehicle or not. A lot of factions with big fleets have a maintenance department and if they don't, this update should make them invest in one or contract a garage.

My car does not have the capacity of a bike, that being a 10L gas tank. If you RP a job that needs driving...taxi driver, a cop...you name it. Trust me, it is not fun to keep visiting an LTD after a 1 hour shift.

Yeah, but, I mean, my state doesn't have the area of a small neighborhood either, that being 5 minutes to circle it. If you drive a lot, you consume a lot of fuel. Simple laws of physics. It's not an impediment, it's a feature that forces you to RP and interact with your environment more.

If this was the case, then it would be fine! However, even at regular speeds and not ''speeding through the entire map'' you will likely refuel once or twice a day, depending on how much you play and drive. Not every few days! And this is where it becomes tedious.

Of course you'll refuel more depending on how much you drive, even at regular speeds. A car still consumes gas even if you're driving normally. I've had times where I was refueling 3 or 4 times a week IRL because I was driving too much. That's how cars work.

I agree that it should be a requirement, however...I don't know if you played yesterday. They pushed the ''nerf'' by accident when it was not supposed to be released till tomorrow. Basically, every car (least to my knowledge) got moved down to have a 10L tank (2,6 gallons). This has nothing to do with realism anymore. It can and will quickly become an annoying task to refuel numerous times a day.

Which absolutely is a problem... if you're at max acceleration all the time. That's 1 tour of the map and a half in the average car at max acceleration. However, if you're driving conservatively, or even normally, that should last you a nice while.

As I recall, one of the problems in this server is people driving at full speed all the time, everywhere. Maybe this'll help.

roleplay should NOT mimic every real life aspect. lmao

Sure, it shouldn't mimic all. It should mimic those that it can, and many minor ones. Which this is.

Yeah I agree. It's becoming a whole MMORPG that needs potions. Shouldn't be an impediment to players and their roleplay, especially if that roleplay is limited.

Holy overreaction. Fueling your car should absolutely be part of the requirements for roleplaying. I'd even go further as to say fuel should also be more expensive to add more realism to all the gas guzzlers driving around. This isn't GTA Online, there are impediments in real life and there should be in a server that tries to mimic real life.

  10. Make it so that there's a % chance that you miss and fall and break your knee and can't get up and go into debt trying to pay your medical bills. Problem solved!

  11. Detailed Description

The functional dumpsters should accumulate trash objects over time, and, when filled, there should be a scene that pops saying that the area around the dumpster smells bad until a garbage man picks the trash up.

This will revitalize the garbage job and give an ounce of realism to dumpsters.

if dumpsters haven’t been emptied in a while, some sort of text should appear at a certain radius. If there are properties in that radius, a message should pop when entering saying that the place stinks cuz of the trash outside.

This will incentivize citizens to ask the government to focus on their areas more on garbage days.

    Relevant Commands/Items

    Dumpster script

How will it benefit the server?

  13. Apartment Floor List - Owned Apartments on Top

    Detailed Description

When pressing Y on an apartment building, it is sometimes annoying having to navigate the list, accidentally hitting the wrong floor, or the wrong apartment, etc. A solution would be to have an "Owned Apartments" list item on top (if you have 2 or more in that building) or simply your one apartment in that building show up on top of the list.

    Relevant Commands/Items

Y to enter building -> first items are your apartments.

How will it benefit the server?

    QoL

  14. Never had an issue with them, tbh. /togad and then being in a different section on the UI helps. I barely ever go to the events and company ads tabs because they’re all on the map anyway.

It’s not that deep. Partners get 5 minute ad timers so it would suck to tell them they’re not allowed to use it.

  15. /shiftstructure [x] [y] [z] - Shift all objects when mapping by x, y, and z coordinate points.

    Detailed Description

A command that lets you shift all the mapped elements (furniture) inside an interior. Sometimes, you map somewhere and the light or noise just doesn't seem right. It would be nice to have a command where you could shift all objects by x y and z coordinates.

For example, I recently mapped by the ocean (I needed flat ground and didn't have my volume on) but hate how I can hear the waves inside my building. I wish to move my entire structure to the Sandy Shores Airfield. I would then /coords where my objects are and /coords where I want them to be.

Once I have the two sets of coordinates, I will calculate the different in coordinates by subtracting initial coordinates by final coordinates. Then, once I /shiftstructure 1 2 3, I would move my structure by 1 x index, 2 y index, and 3 z index for instance.

Another useful command would be rotatestructure, same functionality.

All this command does is shift all the coordinates of every object in the interior by so many coordinates.

Not only would it help with realism, but sometimes you also need to move your object on ground or over a different building, or inside the building too once finished mapping. So many use cases.

    Relevant Commands/Items

    /shiftstructure

    /rotatestructure

How will it benefit the server?

This would tremendously help mapping more realistic interiors and is easy to script, too.

  16. Would be nice if a dev or someone familiar with the technical side could tell us if it’s feasible and how it would work before we discuss it.

edit - missed fatcat’s first comment. Not possible in the same map, so maybe it will be a TP only… if that’s possible?
