Current State of Extorting Businesses
Hello, I hope everyone is doing well.
I know two business owners who are owners of two different clubs in high class areas. Both of them are getting extorted in some sort of way. I've also heard from friends that it seems like illegal factions try to extort every single business, even 24/7's. I am currently under the impression that if you open a business without an illegal faction backing you, you'll have to bow down to being extorted for either money or being less competitive. I've
I've lived in the United States my whole life, have owned businesses, and have a pretty diverse OOC network of people across multiple states/cities who range from owning businesses to being involved in questionably legal businesses.
You know what is not a threat any average business owner in Los Angeles has to deal with? The god damn mafia showing up and asking for chump change. This isn't the 1960's. That era is over. This isn't the heart of New York City in the early 90's.
