Life Posted June 10, 2023 Share Posted June 10, 2023 (edited) In months following a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store in Los Santos, six people were arrested Jan 8, 2020 / 12:46 p.m. Pacific Standard Time The men are being held for an April armed robbery that resulted in the theft of more than $53,000 in jewelry and left a Los Santos store in ruins. On February 13, 2019, the six thieves broke into the glass display cases at the Vangelico Jewelry Store , fleeing in less than a minute, according to a press release from the Los Santos Police Department and security video footage. Three members of the crew used firearms to break the glass, an AK-47 and two Remington shotguns, while three were armed with hammers and pipe wrenches. Two getaway cars were waiting for the six as they fled the store with tens of thousands of dollars' worth of merchandise, police said. In the robbery, no one was injured. After several months of investigating, the first suspect, 24-year-old Davion Williams, was taken into custody in June. Marquis Walters, 17 years old, and Prince Childs, 16 years old, were taken into custody the following month. The other three suspects, Brandon Hines, Anthony Patterson, and Demarion Baker, all of whom are in their late-twenties, were detained between November and December. Three of the suspects had tattoos that were believed to be gang related. Inscribed with the initials "B.F.M." Baker lives in North Vespucci, the other five are from Davis; All six face felony charges, including armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon, the release said.
