** The recording begins with the Los Santos Insider logo then transitions to the interview. **

* Mia Harris smiles widely for the cameras, she then faces Adrian.

Mia Harris: It is my pleasure to welcome Republican Senator Adrian Rossi here tonight!

* Adrian Rossi puts on a relatively comfortable display, lips curled into a warm smile as he returned the gesture towards Mia. He'd nod his head at his introduction.

Mia Harris: Mister Rossi, thank you for accepting my invite to be my guest tonight.

Adrian Rossi: It's my pleasure to be here, Miss Harris - and thank you for the invitation. I know that when you first invited me, I was on vacation, so this had to be delayed.

Mia Harris: How was your vacation, where did you go? Did you have a nice rest?

Adrian Rossi: It went well! It was a mixture of work and vacation, actually. But I enjoyed it. I traveled across the United States. I've visited Liberty, Florida, and even our northern neighbors.

Mia Harris: That sounds lovely! Well, now you are here and I'm going to tire you out... Mister Rossi, let's talk politics, I'm sure the citizens are impatient to hear, a lot of things have happened lately.

Adrian Rossi: Let's do it.

Mia Harris: Let's start with the most recent hot topic, that being the fact that you forwarded an Impeachment of Democratic Senator Luca Giraldi. Why's that?

* Mia Harris watches Adrian curiously.

Adrian Rossi: Well, Miss Harris. If you're asking why I referred it to the Rules, Ethics, and Government committee, then that is because I chair that committee. The impeachment proposal was sponsored and published by Senator Andrew Brandenburg.

Mia Harris: Senator Brandenburg is not here tonight, but I want to hear it, as you're a Republican too, what's happening lately? Why exactly you want him impeached? Lieutenant Governor Wade has also called for Giraldi's impeachment, and we all know that Wade's roots are Republican. He started his career in the Republican Party. Furthermore, there have been several accusations between the two. To remind the citizens - first Mister Giraldi has signed a statement from the Democratic Party for Women's International Day, in which he stated, amongst other things, that the Republican Party doesn't include women in their seats, nor ranks. Then on 27th April this year, Lieutenant Governor Noah Wade was a guest here, in Los Santos Insider. In the said interview, he stated the following: "When I mentioned greenhorns pretending to know it all, Giraldi is the face of that. The GOP most definitely hired women and certainly not for the same reasons as Senator Giraldi." On Facebrowser, he urged the Democratic Caucus to be more diligent when researching and reading through approriation bills and documents. In response, Senator Giraldi called him an "autocratic ruler wannabe" and "budget dictator".

* Mia Harris looks at Adrian yet again.

Mia Harris: So now, what's going to happen next?

* Adrian Rossi seemed to remain seated, nodding his head from time to time, listening through the prolonged question.

Adrian Rossi: Well, from the timeline of events, first, Lieutenant Governor Noah Wade started calling for Senator Giraldi's impeachment. It seems like their issues persist. Recently, the two engaged with one another through statements made on social media. Then, if I recall correctly, the next day, Senator Brandenburg proposed his impeachment resolution. I found that statement by Senator Giraldi to be ignorant and was likely motivated by political ambitions. Though, as I clarified on social media - The Party has had several women holding office and in non-elected positions as well. Chairman Maxwell of the Republican Party said it best, that it just so happens to be /this/ moment where no woman occupies one of the Los Santos district seats. As for what's next. Seeing as I only Chair the Rules, Ethics, and Government committee, it is my responsibility to begin proceedings into this. However, how long this might take? We don't know. What should we expect? That's not something I could begin to express. We will see what comes about in the hearings.

Mia Harris: Do you support the call for his impeachment?

Adrian Rossi: It's very important that we stay away from prejudice in this matter. This is where each individual Senator must look into the allegations made and make a determination after these hearings.

Mia Harris: Mister Rossi, allow me to ask you, why the Republican Party? What motivated you to start your career there, and what made you align your views and ideals with them?

* Adrian Rossi presented both the interviewer and the camera with a positive expression, bearing a deep grin before his head seemingly involuntarily nodded by the end of Mia's question.

Adrian Rossi: Well, as you may know, I was born and raised in Liberty before moving here when I became an adult. I served a long career in law enforcement, so I feel as though I was able to see society from a unique lens. I got to see what issues certain communities faced, what wasn't working, and how the problem was being treated by those responsible. I'll put it to you this way. Blue states can be a big mess. For me, being a Republican is about safety, security, and peace. It's about ensuring law and order, and it's about fostering actual communal growth. I just do not see eye to eye with the far-left ideals. I think they're out of touch and don't work. But I should emphasize the term 'far left'. Otherwise, I have stated before that in many issues, the middle path is the road to success. Republicans have to give from one end, and so do the Democrats.

Mia Harris: As someone who's been a part of law enforcement in the past, call you tell me, what can be done in San Andreas in order to lower the violence rates in several areas, especially in several parts of Los Santos? Can involving the youth and citizens in various projects help, or do you think financial issues are the problem? For example, the LSSD has organized two events lately. A job fair and a meet and greet a deputy event in Paleto. Events like those, are they helpful for the youth to feel closer to law enforcement, to view them as people who are there to protect?

Adrian Rossi: So, I've had this question posed before, and it's never a simple answer. There's many angles we need to work on before we can hope to achieve such success. However, I do believe that, if we can encourage our youth and promote education, and keep them occupied with what's better for their future. I commend the Los Santos Sheriff's Department for their initiatives. They do work hard on formulating new programs in order to connect with their communities, and I believe it's one of the many ways we can work for a better tomorrow. Like you mentioned, it can help change a person's perspective on law enforcement - or any group, whether that be people in public service or otherwise.

Mia Harris: What's your stance on legalized marijuana?

Adrian Rossi: Well. From my personal opinion, I am indifferent whether or not it is legalized in a recreational sense. However, I do certainly support its legalization at this moment for medicinal use. Of course, you see a /LOT/ of information about its positives. And of course, we see a /lot/ less about any negatives it may incur. So, I think that we should look at both pros and cons and make a determination.

Mia Harris: What is, in your opinion, the best indication of economic health? The stock market, unemployment rate, income etcetera...?

Adrian Rossi: I believe a good indication of good economic health is when our workforce is moving forward, our unemployment rate hits lower percentages, and that salaries and incomes are enough for families to make ends meet.

Mia Harris: Let's talk about punishment versus rehabilitation and TTCF. Do you think that inmates in TTCF have enough activities to keep themselves occupied? Does the State provide the LSSD with enough resources to provide rehabilitation to the inmates? Do you even believe in rehabilitation, or do you think that jails should always be more punishment-oriented?

Adrian Rossi: Well. One can answer this question through a political sense and be done with it, but I want to really take a look at it from a more "boots on the ground" perspective. Truth be told, in some ways, our prisons can continuously breed bad behavior. And I do believe that rehabilitation can be important for those it will be effective on. We see a lot of talk from politicians on all levels about how we need rehabilitation instead of prison, but the truth is, they never do anything about it. And so, this political theater that some do is a waste of our constituents time. We need real working solutions for rehabilitation, but rehabilitation will not always work, and that's important to consider.

Mia Harris: What can be done to prevent another Morse Code Killer situation in San Andreas?

Adrian Rossi: Good question, Miss Harris. I believe the first responsibility falls onto the State. The State should not be tolerating such crimes. The State should not be making excuses for people who destroy families, take innocent lives, strike fear into our communities. It's not a matter to appeal to voters, it's a matter that has to have a unified, strong response. Our law enforcement agencies have many tools at their discretion. The Morse Code Killer was no idiot. They evaded capture for a prolonged period of time, unfortunately. Though, we did see periods where their attacks, whether that be physical or through fearmongering online, did come to a halt. I give credit to all the men and women who have placed and still place themselves in these unimaginable positions to seek out and apprehend people like the Morse Code Killer.

Mia Harris: Do you think that there are too many firearms in San Andreas, easily accessible to the citizens?

Adrian Rossi: Sometimes, I feel as though there are not enough law-abiding citizens legally carrying to defend themselves. As for illegal firearms, from a personal opinion, I think that there could be too many out there. I wouldn't know about how difficult it is to obtain, since I did not focus solely on firearms and narcotics or intelligence in my past career, but I do believe that we have trends where we see big surges in handgun crime. This, of course, does not negate a law-abiding citizen's right to carry and defend themselves, however.

Mia Harris: Death penalty in San Andreas - yes or no?

Adrian Rossi: I believe that for the right crimes, under the right circumstances, judged upon by a case-by-case basis legally with due process, and with many opportunities for stays, holds, and appeals to occur, yes.

Mia Harris: What's in the works, Senator? Share it here exclusively! Any new bill in the works?

Adrian Rossi: I'm really glad you asked. I have some good news for everyone. Through a joint cooperation between the Lieutenant Governor's office, the Office of Emergency Services, the Legislature, the Fire Department, City Public Works and with the repair of the Land Act Dam, we can finally begin moving forward on our Fire Hydrant Initiative, which will see the long-term creation and use of fire hydrants in many zones where there currently are either very few, or none. Areas such as our industrial zone to the east, the windmill farms along the Senora Freeway, and in areas like Grapeseed and Sandy Shores.

Mia Harris: Adrian, tell me, what do you do in your free time, when you're resting from politics? Tell us about one of your ordinary days. Furthermore, I wanna know, who is a world leader that you look up to?

Adrian Rossi: I'd love to. I think what I enjoy most is spending time with my family, or my friends who I consider family. I love a good dine — I often find myself in any establishment where they serve food. I used to enjoy the night scene, but it's been a long while since I've had a "night out" in that sense. I think that, at this age, I just find myself wanting to spend quality time with people, all while enjoying a good bite.

* Mia Harris smirks.

Adrian Rossi: As for hobbies, I used to play basketball on the regular. Now, I just shoot hoops at home but occasionally play with a friend. I can still break ankles! As for a world leader that I look up to. This might seem unusual, but I've always had a liking towards President Theodore Roosevelt. Of course, I would pick an American president. Theodore Roosevelt signed the Food and Drug Act into law. But otherwise, he came off as a really down to Earth leader of our country that truly cared about his people. No one is without fault, but I think there is a lot to appreciate with him. And, just a fun fact, the Pure Food and Drug Act was signed in June of 1906.

* Adrian Rossi simply presented the viewers and Mia with a genuinely formed smile, thumbs tapping against one another as his fingers remained interlocked for the time being.

Mia Harris: Adrian, I didn't want to interrupt you earlier, but I just have to ask this...

* Mia Harris chuckles loudly.

Mia Harris: You said you used to enjoy the night scene? You must show us your moves, right here, in front of these cameras...

* Mia Harris gesticulates with her hands while watching Adrian, she continues chuckling.

* Adrian Rossi leans himself slightly backwards, his blazer making light contact with the white cushion behind. He'd emit a bashful snicker whilst his head shook from side to side, evidently failing to even agree to such a request.

Adrian Rossi: Oh no, please. Spare me, I can't do that. I'd make a fool of myself.

Mia Harris: I mean, Mister Trump has danced on stage.

Adrian Rossi: Well, if someone plays music while I'm on stage, perhaps I'll remember this moment and give everyone a little show of what I got!

Mia Harris: Deal. We'll remember your words.

* Adrian Rossi heaved a soft chuckle, lowering his head ever so slightly as his right hand rose up, fingertips pressed upon his forehead as they traversed the surface. It was short-lived, and his hand returned to its prior positioning.

Mia Harris: Is there anything you'd like to say now, as a message for the citizens?

Adrian Rossi: Sure. I always like to encourage communication and relations between constituents and their representatives. Our legislative e-mails are public, so if there are any questions or concerns that you would like to raise up, do not hesitate. We need you so that we can do a better job.

Mia Harris: Thank you for being my guest tonight, Adrian. It was a pleasure.

Adrian Rossi: The pleasure was all mine. Thank you once again for inviting me down here.
