Graffiti on police stations

The thing that gets to me is that ICly some of the placements are out of reach. The one on the side of Alta Street station you'd ICly need a ladder to get up to do it.

We once had someone completely spray paint the main entrance to one of our stations, never found the guy. Took him all of 5-10 minutes to write profanity.

But on a server this is happening weekly to each building if not daily. There's only so many times you can roleplay around it before it becomes stale.

It's a Crime-Free Zone, so it shouldn't be happening.

Happens in real life, live in California and have had a friend that used to tag a lot in High School, he tagged the police station up and the cops in the city definitely were after him. Also I live in San Francisco and most of the stations around here have some sort of tagging on it. It's not uncommon in large cities for this to happen unnoticed.

A quick google image search will show this is not unrealistic in LA and it’s surrounding areas.

Respectfully, if a character has enough balls, why shouldn't they? We can't restrict people from doing stuff just because there's a camera or because they're law enforcement. Gotta let people do silly things and let law enforcement take action IC'ly.

It's a crime free zone. Vandalizing is a 'crime'.

It is vandalism, but you have room for leniency if the faction is okay with just roleplaying it as it provides more roleplay opportunities for the faction, but then again most of these people are trolls so I expect them to just want it resolved ooc.

A lot of shit happens in real life. but the majority of it isn't even allowed on the server because it has no place in a game or because there has to be a healthy balance between fun and an authentic experience. Just because shit happens IRL doesn't mean that it should happen IG and you should know that as a long-standing player. Now if the tag spots were more carefully chosen I might not have had such an issue, but it's clear that ZERO thought was put into these spots. There's being stupid, and there's being 100% unrealistic.

 

Don't forget that police stations are some of the few locations on the map that have NPC's that'd be there round the clock, even during graveyard shifts they're not going to be quiet places. No crime means no crime.
