Restriction on metal detectors

Detailed Description

 

Basically, I'm bit perplexed by a number of metal detectors in the Los Santos. I get that bank has it, or some financial institutions and government building, but... Nowdays I have to walk through the metal detector every time I want to get in /almost/ any public interior. That's unrealistic and quite vexing. Metal detectors are in every other bar, club, coffee place, vehicle dealership, everywhere. I just had to walk through the metal detector in order to enter spa. Feels like I'm playing airport security simulator before entering some places.

 

Can we put in the rule to put a stop to usage of endless metal detectors. Like... If you aren't casino, government institution or bank you should get admins permission to place the metal detector.

How will it benefit the server?

 

It bring more realism to the server. IRL you don't see a metal detector in every other coffee shop, bar or night club.

It is as realistic as every venue having a shootout outside it. I am not a fan, rather not put them in, but it is just a response to how every bar or club owner has to deal with somone being dead in their carpark at every single opening.

I'm sure if a mass shooting happened outside or inside of every club irl at least once; there'd be a lot more than simple metal detectors present.

The presence of armed security & enhanced screening is a direct result of IC escalation & violence, which admittedly, isn't realistic. But! It's IC.

Metal detectors have always been there, they’re just more visible now because there’s an actual physical metal detector that can detect firearms and not just someone doing /do or a CIM.

It's an IC issue, if the crime rate wasn't equivilent to Tijuana, the response from business owners wouldn't be the same.

IC reaction to astronomical IC crime rate. No need for an OoC suggestion. If (lol) crime rate ever decreses to more realistic and livable conditions then surely they will be phased out in time.

 

otherwise it is simply a VERY stupid idea IC to remove metal detectors from your business since every Joe Schmuch has a gun and looks for ways to threaten or escalate to X or Y.

It will make each business opening as painful as toothache. Each ipening has some “badass” starting stuff.

They are just around where they should be. 

It would only make sense to a city where it's so common to see a gun fight between two to protect the businesses with a metal detector.

You can always lie your way out of it and it would be up to the security if they'd let it slide or pat your further - for example when I once carried my illegal firearm I just said it's my steel thighs and it was fine - it's up to their P2W mentally to be honest.

As a former Security in real life I can tell it'd most likely be the same even in real life, where they put metal detector and one comes up with such as claim you simply pat him by hand briefly - which's allowed according to the Guard Card regulations in game.

 

Overall, the Metal Detectors prevents mass shootouts inside businesses. You don't have to hang out with your pistol 24/7 and it should be used only when your character is in danger.

Maybe if people wouldn't cause stupid shootouts inside businesses and carry guns 24/7 for no apparent reasons, this wouldn't be an 'issue'. No reason to have this behind an OOC restriction if people have none to carry guns aimlessly too. -1

If the server didn't have nearly 10 shootings every day then maybe this'll stop stuff, from our own data from 911 calls only in the past 23 days.
