The University of Los Santos, San Andreas, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Administrative Assistant for various departments including Student Affairs, Human Resources, and Strategic Communications. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of the university by providing administrative and operational support to the department you are assigned to.

  • The Office of Student Affairs is divided into two sub-divisions: Student Life and Student Health. The Student Life division is responsible for providing a wide range of services and support to enhance the overall student experience. This includes managing student registrations, coordinating student events and programs, providing academic and career advising, managing student organizations, and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. As an administrator for Student Life, your main responsibilities will be to facilitate the day-to-day operations of the division, support wider campus life, assist with student-related inquiries, investigate reports of student misconduct, and actively advocate for the well-being of students.
  • The Office of Strategic Communications is a diverse department that plays a crucial role in promoting the university's image and reputation. In addition to managing the university's overall communications strategy, the department also has a departmental responsibility for organizing events for the university as a whole. This includes planning and coordinating various events such as conferences, workshops, and other public events that enhance the university's visibility and engagement with the wider community. As an administrator for this department, you will be responsible for leading and managing the team, ensuring the successful delivery of various events and communication initiatives, and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a high level of sociability, creativity, and excellent communication skills to successfully collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
  • The Office of Legal Affairs provides legal guidance and support to the institution, including legal advice and counsel, contract review and drafting, legal research and analysis, litigation management, policy development and compliance, training and education, risk management, records management, and liaison with external parties. The office ensures ULSA's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies, manages legal risks, and supports ULSA's administration, faculty, and staff in legal matters related to higher education.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide administrative support to the assigned department, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings.
  • Prepare and maintain departmental records, reports, and documents.
  • Coordinate and facilitate departmental events and programs.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Assist with drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and University policies (PARALEGAL ONLY).
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Communications, Sociology, Anthropology, etc.) is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field (PARALEGAL ONLY).
  • Ability to collaborate, communicate, and work with others effectively
  • Relevant work experience in administration, preferably in a higher education or similar setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential material with discretion

  • The Department of Arts is a creative powerhouse, offering programs in fine arts, literature, anthropology, and more. This department cultivates critical thinking, creativity, and global awareness, preparing students for careers in arts, humanities, social sciences, and related fields.
  • The Department of Sciences represents the merger of Medicine & Natural Sciences and Technology & Engineering. POSITION: CUSTODIAN — DEPARTMENT: MAINTENANCE — SALARY: $40,000
 

 

INFORMATION:

 
The Maintenance team is a streamlined, close-knit team that is responsible for the general maintenance of the college campus. A Custodian performs landscaping tasks using power equipment and hand tools to maintain the faculty's grounds, buildings, and ensure that work spaces are kept clean and up to a satisfactory standard. You will be ultimately responsible to ensure that the campus is safe from hazards.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Mows lawns, trims weeds, and rakes leaves as assigned.
  • Picks up and removes trash prior to mowing a designated area.
  • Empties trash and recycling containers.
  • Trims bushes, shrubs, and hedges.
  • Prepares soil and plants flowers, bushes, hedges, or shrubs.
  • Plants trees and prunes them when necessary.
  • Cuts and removes trees as needed.
  • Applies fertilizer, pesticides, and herbicides as directed.
  • Completes snow removal tasks such as shovelling sidewalks, steps, and doorways as needed during winter months.
  • Operates snowblower or snowplough to clear roads, driveways, and parking lots.
  • Performs routine maintenance on power equipment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling.
  • Must be physically able to operate power equipment.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
  • Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and other landscaping equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools required for landscaping.
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments.
  • Extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes.
  • Excellent time management skills.

The Department of Campus Security promotes lawful conduct and the welfare of ULSA's students, faculty, and staff performing routine checks around school grounds to investigate disturbances and maintain order. This extends to monitoring the University's closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems. Campus Security collaborates with emergency services, law enforcement, and the ULSA community during crises. As a probationary security officer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Monitoring and maintaining campus peace;
  • Building a strong rapport with students & faculty;
  • Training and mentoring future security personnel;
  • Co-operating with emergency services & law enforcement agencies;
  • Attending scheduled meetings and serving on School, Faculty, and University committees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • High-school diploma or GED equivalent;
  • United States citizenship or permanent residency status;
