     The Ciao Cafe on Hawick Avenue has been serving Los Santos’ coffee thirst since 2022. From a simple espresso, to milkshakes and baked goods, Ciao Cafe has plenty to offer and with Katia, the Russian supervisor at the helm, the cafe will be here until the sun explodes. With crime rising in Los Santos and recent violent crimes, Ciao Cafe is now under the protection of Gruppe 6. Will, the Lead Security Officer, has already witnessed crime even with armed protection.

     The lead supervisor, Katia, is a veteran coffee connoisseur having worked at two other coffee shops before. She’s worked at Ground and Pound Cafe and The Coffee Sense before settling down at the Ciao Cafe we know today. Katia has been at the cafe since 2022, when the store opened. They open everyday and see a big influx of customers each time they open. Katia reports they have about 8 part-time employees, but they come and go. “I’ll be here until my last breath” says Katia. When asked why she wanted to work at the Ciao Cafe, she says she wants to do her own thing.

 

 

     However, the Ciao Cafe has been a victim of numerous crimes, like a lot of Los Santos residents. Recently there had been a shooting in the parking lot of the cafe. The crime around the business has been happening for weeks, prompting an enforcement from third party security business, Gruppe 6. One officer, Will, recounts some of the incidents he’s witnessed. He reports there have been issues inside and outside the cafe. Inside, he’s had to break up brawls between patrons and had to step in due to line-cutting and rudeness before it escalates. He carries weapons with him and handcuffs to restrain violent offenders

     The Ciao Cafe has made an impression on the city of Los Santos with its history and patronage. Surely, you’ve either eaten here, glanced at it while driving by, or have heard of it. It’s now tightly secured thanks to the security officers and Katia will do everything she can to make sure business is running smoothly and will last. As we see it, the cafe will make its mark on the city.
