Emeritus Chief Justice Appointed as New Director of Planning and Special Projects

On January 28th, 2023, this past Saturday, Secretary of State Noah Wade announced the appointment of Emeritus Chief Justice James Connelly as the director of the Office of Planning and Special Projects within the state government, an office created within the past few years under the Government Accountability Act of 2021.

 

As director of the office, Mister Connelly will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, having previously worked in the state's court systems. The appointment was made following a rigorous selection process that took into account the candidate's qualifications, experience, and leadership skills. Secretary Wade and the state government are confident that Mister Connelly is the right person for the job, and that he will bring the necessary skills and experience to lead the Office and deliver on its mandate.

 

With everything in line, Mister Connelly took the oath of office, solemnly swearing to support and defend the Constitution of the United States as well as the Constitution of San Andreas against all enemies, foreign and domestic; bearing true faith and allegiance to the same; that he took the obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that he would well and faithfully discharge the duties of office on which he was about to enter: So help him God.
