Staff Update - January 2023

Recommended Posts

Happy New Year, GTA:World, and welcome to the first Staff Update of 2023.

The last twelve months have been big for GTA:World as a whole. We've seen many members come and go, and yet still every day we reach high numbers logging in to continue to experience the best of what we have to offer, so thank you for your continued dedication and support, and long may you continue to enjoy your experience here throughout the entirety of 2023.

I think it's only prudent we start by checking back over the last 12 months over each of the most important stats:

Over the last year, we have had:

- 116,462 reports
- 72,938 tickets

- 26,432 new user registrations

Averaging to be a total of 319 reports, 200 tickets and 72 new users per day, which are HUGE numbers. It's one of the moments when we recap over the year that we really have to appreciate just how much work an admin completes on a day to day basis, so - THANK you, to each and every staff member, past and present, who has dedicated their time to helping keep GTA:W going.

A lot of the work that happens to keep GTA:W going every day happens ingame, but also a lot behind the scenes. It's important that we also recognize our development team, modders, mappers, faction leaders, and importantly, you too. We all get to experience everything we do here every day because of the sheer amount of effort people go to, and that we all individually contribute by being here, so thank you for sticking with us through the journey, and we really hope we can do everything to continue to make your experience here be enjoyable as we venture into 2023.

A new year is a chance to redefine ourselves, and to set our goals to new heights, and we encourage you all to do that both inside and outside GTA:World. The options are limitless in an experience like GTA:W, and we encourage you to explore every avenue of opportunity you get!

With that in mind, we'd like to welcome some of our new members to the Support ranks this month across both communities. We didn't open applications during the festive period, but due to the massive influx of applications we had in November, we were still able to recruit from a large batch of Reserved members, who we're excited to welcome to the team this month!

Staff Management is also happy to congratulate @Wuhtah as our newly appointed Assistant Head of Support. Since her reinstatement to the team, she's worked closely with @Adv month on month to educate, guide and coach our supports, new and old, and has dedicated herself to this, checking in on them each and every day. We think she's a right fit for the role, and thank her for her support so far.

Legal Faction Management have also worked hard since @Sharvit took the Head of Legal FM role across both LC and LS. To help support him in his role on LS, Both @Phased and @Hood have been promoted to Senior Admin, and Senior Faction Management. Congratulations both!

Property Management have also made some changes to the way their structure works over the past few months, and decided to appoint an Assistant Head of Property Requests, as well as an Assistant Head of House Requests. Whilst not a position eligible for promotion, we thought it only right to congratulate @Essence as Assistant Head of Property Requests, and @Fenris as Assistant Head of House Requests. Thanks for your hard work!

We wish you all the best throughout all of 2023, but especially January before our next update!
