Create a new board where you can schedule in game reports.

Recommended Posts

Basically, the idea is pretty simple. You fill out a form and get a time and a date when your report will be handled. Right now it usually takes around 1-3 business days to get an answer on your in game report. So instead of waiting in line, you just show up at your given schedule and an admin handles it for you. Saves the players a lot of unnecessary waiting time and it helps the admins navigate their work schedule.

I dont quite get the idea?

You're looking for some board to schedule a meeting with an administrator, but in game, to run your report faster?

The whole idea of forum reports is to provide some solid background, proves, keep it organized and recently they did made some major changes to allow faster handle of reports.

Sometimes reports can not be handled straight away in game, say there's 10 admins on duty with 600 players around, eight of them currently handling reports, one supervising a robbery and another one supervising an ongoing planned character kill of an organized illegal faction.

Once you submit your report, you'll be quoted to the back of the line and you will be assisted as soon as any previous report has been handled. Sometimes it takes one minute, sometimes it'll take one hour, because admins will listen to every player claims, and they will clearly get a full perspective of the scene they're dealing with.

It does make some sense though but I don't know if this is the best way to handle this.

The problem being raised is that there are certain types of in-game reports that are not urgent and don't get handled in time, so posting it somewhere and forgetting about it until someone's able to take care of it might be more efficient both for admins (who won't have to do it in-game but rather at their earliest convenience) and for players (who won't have to stress about reporting every time they log in and waiting around, hoping someone's around). Stuff like renaming a business, resetting an interior, reviving etc.

Or this could just be integrated in the UCP. Have another tab with a basic form. People fill it in, it's sent to a list. Admins can handle them from there. One step further, testers could go through them and assign them to their respective teams so that each admin only reads what concerns them.

If you're talking about reporting players over small stuff, you can still do that in Player Reports.

> As for the part you've mentioned regarding the interior changes and stuff, most of that stuff is automated through the UCP. Basically you go to the UCP > Property Requests > Submit a request. Once you're there, you fill out a request for whatever you need to be adjusted. Once it's accepted, you would need to wait until the next server restart and all that stuff should automatically be incorporated into/for your character.
