Addressing increase in Citywide Home Invasions

Los Santos: The Los Santos Police Department has noted an increase in responding to emergency calls pertaining to home invasions, theft and vandalism over recent weeks in multiple communities within Los Santos.

The department would like to highlight the stance that these crimes have been noted and tracked, and multiple investigations are on-going to identify suspects. Both the LSPD and LSSD hope to continue to work together in tackling this prominent issue through sharing intelligence.
 

In light of these increased incidents, the department would like to remind citizens of the following:

• Utilise home alarm systems, or consider upgrading the current model to adapt to the spree.
• Use exterior lighting to deter potential suspects.
• Adapt and install current locks within the exterior doors.
• Pay attention to your surroundings and suspicious individuals and vehicles in your neighbourhood.
• During the unfortunate event of a robbery do not approach individuals. No property is worth the cost of a life.

 

The LSPD asks the community to remain vigilant of this increase in crime whilst these incidents are on the rise. If involved in such an incident please dial 911 when safe to do so. Citizens are encouraged to divulge information regarding individuals that may be involved in such crimes via the non-emergency number on 9101.

Our peace officers deserve better pay and a better quality of life. Otherwise, we all will have to take matters into our own hands. Rise up or resign.
