so I work at a mechanic shop and it was owned by Vagos MC they got closed so would I still be able to work on cars?

The best way to handle this scenario is to inquire about the shop's ownership through in character means. In the event that the shop is under new management, it does not hurt to ask (IC'ly) if they can still retain you as an employee.

You can still work as a mechanic but I believe you will need to find another shop to work at. I highly recommend either Patriot Auto or Zazen-Arts, both of those shops are very active and provide a high quality roleplay experience. The best way to go about getting hired would be to go to their shops and ask to speak with a manager in-game. Good luck man!
