knppel
Wait I am confused wasn't this suggestion about speeding up day/night cycle? Link to comment
Natala
Yup as I said earlier. 1 ig day = 1 rl day. Sun sets at 7pm, day end at midnight, like it always have. Only difference sunrise starts at 3 am. Clubs open when they have always opened, life in games goes at the pace it has always been. 90% of European players never notice the change because we are asleep. Americans gets to enjoy Vespucci beach during daylight. Edited June 17, 2022 by Natala 1 Link to comment

No, this suggestion does not just mean to shift more daylight/more night (here's conflicting opinions too what would be better in all comments but hey) Edited June 17, 2022 by knppel Link to comment

pateuvasiliu
No thank you. It would be chaos to keep track of the ingame hour OOC. You'll open your diner and find out it's actually dawn ingame. Knowing the hour of the server at any point is a huge plus and helps out-of-game roleplay. Link to comment

Except it doesn't because it is pretty much always dark or about to be dark out when players are online. How is that helpful when there is nothing to distinguish? 1 Link to comment

You're on Facebrowser, you set up a lunch meeting for 1PM server time, 'lo and behold it's actually midnight because we fucked around with the day/night cycle and now server time doesn't mean anything. Knowing the server's time is absolutely mandatory for roleplay. You wouldn't do the same activities at noon or midnight. 2 Link to comment

Most of us don't get a choice of if we do something during the day or at night, for a lot of us the option is... Middle of the night. So we'd like it to be adapted in some way to allow us to have any daylight /at all/ as compared to the current system where we only get nighttime and never anything else. Link to comment

That's exactly why the suggestion was made for, that some people don't have the option or a chance to see a day or night. It wasn't made to cause issues/problems, but more of a problem fixer to give people a chance to experience day/night RP. While some people have the possibility to RP in both, some just don't, solely because of their time zone. Link to comment
