Prostitution network and pimps

Hello I would like to highlight the roleplay of a prostitute and that of a pimp.

In my opinion, there is a serious problem with this, a lack of common sense and a lack of fair play because one side forces the other side to play a roleplay that is not attractive.

Let me explain.

The roleplay of the pimps in the city is quite weak and I think it is necessary to ask your opinion on the matter.
Typically, a prostitute when she works, she is on the street, on the internet or both.
It is the one that is roleplaying on the street that is the problem.
80% of the people who approach prostitutes become pimps as soon as they see a girl or an opportunity to make money.
I find this normal as long as the roleplay of that person is intended to be a pimp, for example a dealer who wants to get involved in a prostitution ring.
The problem with this is that most people want to use prostitutes as money generators without putting in any effort.
That is, they say they come by every week to collect money under the guise of protection, but they make no effort to get the prostitute out.
If a prostitute does not want to work, they threaten her with death, even murder for the smallest of reasons.
I had the experience of a bad pimp who didn't respect the rules either, he went so far as to ask for a bank transfer to pay him back for the days I didn't work.

I also saw that some people were satisfied with the bare minimum to make this business work and this gives a bad image of this roleplay which is more than interesting from different angles. They are all looking to exploit each of the prostitutes, like cows providing milk. 

I would like to suggest you to underline the fact that people who want to invest in this roleplay should invest 100% in it because people who do the bare minimum to collect money from prostitutes, totally ruin the roleplay of prostitutes.

Little by little, it's impossible to roleplay under these conditions, it's really painful to play a stripper/prostitute/escort character with people who don't know what it is to be a pimp.

The most common mistake I see is that those who think they are pimps have to talk to girls as if they were crap when it's totally the opposite, they have to see the pimp as their second father, the ideal lover, the confidant, the man to whom they would clearly entrust their lives and that's exactly what happens they need to know that this guy is the one who would give his life for them, It's like a life coach, they earn money together and each one has a role, one is to collect money, the other one is to make sure that more and more money comes in by bringing in / retaining clients.
The second mistake I see from bad pimps is that most of them hope to take a percentage while they provide "security" by being completely absent and they claim money at the end of the week, it's completely stupid, they don't know how to manage this business as it should be.

On top of that, they don't bring in clients, they don't increase the number of clients of the prostitute, she has no financial interest to associate with him.
And finally for a pimp to be a good pimp, the girls must see in priority that with this guy there, they will make much more money thanks to his network and his charisma because he attracts the crowds and the customers, he bring back the opportunities towards his girls and makes them queens, it is according to me the best way to play that in game and to have an interesting evolution 
Unfortunately, people want to skip steps and make a lot of money right from the start, whereas this network is built over weeks, even months so that it is solid, so that the older prostitutes can convince the new prostitutes to trust the pimp, that's how I see this network. And it's that in the end the pimp makes a lot of money, because he takes a share of each transaction that takes place in this network, he doesn't take much individually so that this network can develop and that his girls find an interest in this partnership
I can understand that this roleplay of pimp is not within the reach of everyone because it is necessary to have a lot of qualities, to be a pimp is a roleplay which is deserved, it is like leading a company but with the rules of the street.

Considering I was the victim of some of these. Its obvious how I feel.

 

The story of a girl who resorts to this kind of trade offers some really touching stories and some unique moments in rp. My character found a mother figure being a working girl for example but there's huge issues with people we run into.

 

For the "pimps" I don't think it should be 100% their trade. Like they can dangle drugs as treats and stuff along with regular drug deals. Maybe even Chop cars on the side. But to be 100% on the trade isint fair. Since we working girls do other things besides bang for money. So it's a little unfair to force em to 100% it. 

 

I do however think trades should not conflict. If they are a banger who is concerned with defending territory and shooting the rival gangs. They realistically have no reason to care about what random girls are doing. They should be selling guns. Not girls. Gangs are muscle. Not traffickers. And if they are traffickers, they should actually put work into it. Rather than just kidnapping a girl, throwing her on a corner and setting her as an atm to come collect on

 

But there's so much poor potrayal and it feels like there should be rules/admin input on how this rp should go

 

Wanna know why escort ads exist? Because girls can't go on the street without someone trying to ruin the rp for them

We don't need the administration team to define how pimp/prostitute RP should go. It's up to the people involved to RP it properly. There is no right or wrong way to RP these things. IRL, you'll have nice pimps, and you'll have abusive trash pimps. If you don't like the RP with a specific person, don't engage in it.

Escort ad's exit because it's easier to get clients that way than standing on a dead street HOPING someone will pass by and ask to erp with you. It's the same way IRL. Escort advertisements are literally EVERYWHERE because not only is it legal to be an escort providing "date services", but it's safer as you can pre-screen clients. Most "escorts" today require a pre-booked appointment along with an ID and social media references.

 

 

Escort's are a thing because of the following defense:

• There was no actual agreement to an exchange of money, goods, or services for the sexual act.
• Any money, goods, or services exchanged were not for the sex act.

Can I also say that if I worked for every gangbanger who said I work for him now or else. I'd have 7 different pimps by now as a working girl?

You mistake what we are asking for. We want a precident to be set. 

 

It's obvious there's an issue with portraying this correctly to the point people do outlandish things like aim guns at the first working girl they see because they see easy E money.

 

When the rp can't sort itself out. A precident needs to be set ooc to dictate how things SHOULD go. 

 

Just like how robbery rules were changed because people were doing it wrong

The pimps on this server see the prostitute as an ATM, they don't care about her safety or what she does or anything, it's logical that nobody wants to have RP with a Pimp.

 

A couple of years ago I wanted to do serious RP with a faction and it was working but didn't make it because someone screwed it up

I think she might be referencing the stigma behind this kinda trade in general. I'm not certain.

So glad someone sees why this is a problem. When it's legitimately unfun to the point the person doesn't wanna partake in the rp? It becomes an issue
