Is this really necessary?

Not really sure that's it's needed to be kicked over a advert... yet you see people getting ajailed for much more, or even just a warning.... especially when loading up RAGE can take 10-15 mins for some.

NB: Wasn't me who got kicked.

The ad-medium has been up for debate forever and its never truly been clarified. Some suggest its a large platform advertising service as if these are ads you'd see on TV or hear on the radio. This doesn't make sense considering they allow ads selling property, vehicles and items of value. This in itself suggests more of a classified ads system. Large TV / radio ads won't have ads of people selling their personal property, vehicles or items of value.

No taxi's online? Can't post an ad looking for a ride. Against the rules.

Trying to find a room mate? Can't do it. Against the rules.

Need to sell your vehicle? Go ahead.

Need to sell a necklace or item of value? Go ahead.

It's all very contradictory. As OP mentioned, escorts use the ads system all the time to advertise their services and we all know those services aren't legal. They aren't kicked. The ads system needs much more oversight. I'm not sure what the big deal is. Regulate the ads better and punish people who get out of hand. Let people look for work but kick the idiots who post shit like, "19/f/looking for work". If it's a legitimate effort while people are already on the server and in-game to see the ad, why punish those who make the effort? Everyone is already in-game. Why force people go to the forums to post they are looking for a job? Online during peak server time with 700 people online to potentially see an in-game ad that you're looking for a job? Nope. Need to go post an ad on the forums and hope someone logs on while they're playing to see it. It's all very disjointed.

"Looking for a job" adverts could easily be disguised as selling sex, there's really no way to tell without wasting way too much time watching the player to find out what they're doing for something that'd just be a kick anyway. The same can be said for room-mate ads, usually just someone looking for erp and these are all classed as  personal ads which can be posted on the forum instead. I do agree with the Escort services though, those should 100% be classed as personal ads and only be allowed on the forum. The Taxi one? Nobody posts an ad IRL saying they're looking for a ride, they call an uber, a taxi or a friend.

I really don't see enough of an issue with the last two examples.

Alright but with this logic ALL personal ads should be on the forum then. Selling a personal vehicle? Forum. It’s a personal ad. Selling an item of value? Forum. It’s a personal ad. My point is these things are super inconsistent and being cherry picked based on how people can break the rules. It’s the wrong approach, in my opinion. In that case, we should make all ads forum based because anyone can disguise anything in a legal personal ad. See the issue?

No he was using it as an example to show how silly it is to get kicked for trying to find a job. It’s not that deep.
