Officer Shootout at Vespucci Canals ends in Major Injuries

On the 15th May 2022, at approximately 0934 hours; an unfortunate series of events occured in Vespucci Canals. An armed foot pursuit quickly evolved into a car chase, concluding just outside of Conquistador Street cross Bay City Avenue, where the alleged began to discharge firearms at Officers of the Los Santos Police Department. The three-times-occupied SUV swiftly emptied, allowing for a further foot pursuit to continue down the alleyways of Bay City Avenue, unfortunately ending in the injury of one of our Law Enforcement Officers.

We are advising all residents and visiting civilians of the Vespucci Canals to remain vigilant in the upcoming days, as a result of the suspects still being on the loose. We remind all citizens of this borough and surrounding areas to be watchful, and dial 9-1-1 at your earliest convenience if you suspect any illicit or suspicious activity.

Additionally, should you have any information that may be relevant to the ongoing investigation; we encourage you to dial our non-emergency number - 9-9-1 - or visit your nearest Police Station to speak with a Police Officer. We thank you for your continued support and vigilance.
