Calliope Films is a film production office. Organizing a production is often a logistical nightmare. You need to communicate and relay with all the right people, get the right resources and get them at the right place at the right time. Then make it happen by managing the set. As a creative, you want to be able to focus on the substance of your art. This requires experience and industry know-how.

 

With a team of industry hardliners with over 30+ years of experience in film, we coordinate and organize everything to get your film made. We work on the whole spectrum from pre-production to arranging distribution:

 

• Drafting and coaching in screenwriting
• Financing and budgeting
• Pre visualization and pre-production (i.e. casting, budgeting, hiring)
• Film set management, line production work, art direction, prop management
• Distribution liaison, legal

Our coaches have 30+ years of experience in screenwriting and know how to adapt a story that works for the screen. Of course, the creative decisions are entirely in your own hands.

Are you an aspiring actor or want to work in film production? Our office shortlists hundreds of above-the-line and below-the-line jobs. If it’s related to film, you can get in touch with us. This business tries to depict a film production office and attempts to create a roleplay setting for people who want to roleplay characters that have professions in the film industry. While we also draft machinimas ourselves, it is not the keystone of the faction to maximize output. Our main goal is to depict the stressful environment of getting a film made on time. So you don’t need actual experience to roleplay the starving artist or a glamorous film star. We’re here to create a platform that allows you to roleplay characters working in and around films, and the challenges that come with it.

 

We can do everything to help you roleplay around making a film.

 

If you want to roleplay something that exists in the film industry, whether it’s a cinematographer, a director, a line producer, an assistant CD, a Hollywood accountant, or a theatre tycoon, you can do that with us. If it doesn’t exist in the server or within our business yet, we’ll figure it out together!

 

The film industry is a really complex and vast industry world-wide with a pretty rigorous structure and workflow. There's tons of companies involved in making a film. It would not be immersive to have a company that does everything by itself. There's dozens of suppliers that cater to and collaborate with production companies.

 

We really encourage people to take the liberty roleplay this environment. In order to roleplay with us and be a part of us, you don't have to be an employee in this business. You could roleplay owning or being part of an art studio that can be hired as the art department, you can roleplay an actor represented by a talent agency, or roleplay an agent yourself that represents actors and actresses, or you could roleplay a shady Hollywood accountant or a screenwriter that gave up everything and moved to Los Santos in order to start their career as a screenwriter. All of this is possible and creates for more engaging roleplay opportunities.

 

We’re specifically not a studio that only drafts their own material and is competitive about it. We try to permeate the media scene and facilitate roleplay there.

We're permanently drafting in the following areas:

 

Office
Do you have a knack for planning, managing, liaison or finance? Our office is the backbone of our company and we're constantly looking for new FTEs to add to our team. You'll be involved in drafting projects, the screening process and all phases from pre-production to distribution with vacancies in line production, legal, accountancy and project revision. Film is a hectic and stressful environment full of obstacles and you'll be responsible for facing them and finding solutions.

 

There's always something to do. If this suits you and you think you have the character, send your resume!

 

Production
If you have any aspirations in the area of production, we are looking to add to our crew for cinematography, camera, lighting, sound, make-up artists, prop management, set building etc. The production department is involved during the pinnacle of all our efforts: getting the film made when everything is set and ready to go.

Internships

Most people who have high positions in the entertainment industry started low in the ladder. If you're fresh out of school or looking to gain experience in and around the office or the set, do get in touch with us. We permanently host internships for young talent that's looking to explore whether the film industry is something they want to get a career in, or to gain experience to apply for a position that requires a more extensive track record.

Do you have a knack for planning, project management, liaison or finance?

 

Calliope Films has various permanent FTE positions in the areas of film. We're a Los Santos based avant-garde indie film production office performing everything in the areas of project drafting, financing, budgeting, pre-production through to post, distribution liaison and legal.

 

Right now we're primarily looking for full-timers who can help in drafting projects, pre-production and project management in order to draft, revise and manage new film projects. So if you have a knack for project planning and organizing, please send us an e-mail.

 

We're also hiring camera, lighting and sound crew members as well as cinematographers, make-up artists and any such positions. However, rather than FTE, this is paid on project basis.
