i open this to anyone, please find me a towing company that also does security… installs camera and offers even half the services Gruppe 6 does.

Find me a logistics company that does package delivery and impounds cars for their local law enforcement department, hell let’s make it easier; a logistics company that does any public towing….

Deutsche Bahn might be an example. It used to be state-owned, but is now a private company with over 525 subsidiaries.

Let me list some of the most important subsidiaries of Deutsche Bahn:
DB Regio & Fernverkehr -) Passenger transport by rail.
DB Freight -) Freight transport by rail
DB Netze -) Management of railway lines
DB Station & Service -) Management of all stations
DB Energie GmbH -) Electricity company
DB Schenker -) Worldwide logistics with ships, trucks, aircraft
DB ECO Group (engineering, consulting, operations)
DB Software
DB Connect GmbH -)  Fleet service, car rental, chauffeur service, car sharing
DB Autohaus -) Used car dealer
Deutsche Bahn Finance GmbH
DB Shop -) You can buy honey there.

What does that have to do with rail transport? Exactly. Nothing at all!

Detailed Description

There seems to be a lack of enforcement on what business companies partake in. There are four corporations who've made the leap from their traditional businesses to partake in vehicle impounds. As someone who went about it the right way, operating ONLY a towing and recovery business; myself and the other three legit businesses are directly affected. Its not realistic, nor fair that the listed companies are granted the ability to bridge over into a whole separate line of work just because they can afford to add a flat bed to their fleet. Every single corporate page does not reflect these towing services, it comes off as a straight money grab.

1. IMEX Logistics -  Everything about this company is geared for logistics and package delivery and has been for years. Hence why they are located where they are.

We don't see UPS, Fedex or DHL in the impound industry do we? Their line of work is in the name. LOGISTICS   - TOPIC

Of the four listed IMEX drivers would be the most capable. The Flatbed is based on the Peterbilt 379, a vehicle that would require special licensing because of the gross weight.

2. Gruppe 6 - A GTA5 (lore) SECURITY company is also now an active towing partner under contract with the Sheriffs Department. Again, why are we letting companies jump businesses, this isn't even in the realm of something they should handle. Do these security officers, bodyguards and camera installers just hop into a truck when a call pops up, or do they have dedicated operators? I bet we would be hard pressed to find a security company that also does impound and recovery.

3.  Habeeb Transport Union - A Transit company that does Taxis, Tour buses, coach buses, limos and now vehicle impounds and recovery. Where do we draw the line, how does someone have the employees or the training to operate all of these effectively? - TOPIC

4. Transport on Demand - A Taxi company that also has recently jumped into the mix as well. Again, are we just spreading our same employees over both hotlines incase a call comes for a Taxi or a Tow?

How will it benefit the server?

Enforcing the standards against businesses is key otherwise no one but the abusers will benefit. The market for these tow jobs is limited and they are becoming increasingly sparse. Looking at all of the listed companies topics you will find that none of them mention anything about towing or offering it as a service. This leads me to believe they just purchased a flat bed and keep it on stand by for when the requests come in, sticking to their traditional businesses while they wait. For legitimate tow companies like myself and others this leaves us at a disadvantage. I don't own any other fleet vehicles and my employees were all required to complete training and read our handbook. When we presented our contract to the SD and PD it was written under the pretense that our drivers are available when needed at anytime.

The money and income from it isn't the major problem here; its the role play and the diminished quality. There is no logical reason that these companies would bridge over. This is something you would expect from maybe a mechanic shop, not a package delivery, security firm, or taxi driver.  Its no different than having an LEO character deal cards at a casino until a 911 call comes in, only for them to drop everything and head to the call.

Hi, Dan from Transport on Demand here!

I appreciate the pain/problem you're finding trying to run a recovery business, but 'spreading the same employees over both hotlines' is definitely not what we're doing. We are a fairly new business to World, having been running IC for 3 months and with a business script for 1. In this time we've signed on over fifty drivers, a good portion of which are active daily. We have a fleet of nine taxis along with a few other vehicles for passenger transport. Similar to Habeeb we spend a lot of time recovering our taxis, which is a task exclusively reserved for a few members of management who are capable with the Yosemite flatbed (the only model we have/use/need) and our fleet mechanic. This is the reason we have capable people IC and the resources to transport small vehicles.
We were approached by three separate Sheriffs IC who asked us to apply for their towing contract because of a lack of availability when they do call. We make it very clear we are not capable of anything more than small vehicles, plus our response time is likely to be the longest as our flatbeds will need to travel from our depot in Sandy Shores. Having been active on the contract for a week now, we have seen five or six calls come in. Each time we've waited to see if anyone else will respond first - so far I haven't seen anyone other than HTU being available for this work.

We are not positioning ourselves to monopolise vehicle recovery, simply allowing development to happen IC. I think the root of the problem here is more in that people are able to use /fixveh commands and spawn themselves at various properties/locations around the map to circumvent the need for passenger or vehicle transport services.
If players were more reliant on these services, it would be more viable to have players solely dedicated to these roles 24/7. When this isn't possible, I think it's unhelpful to suggest people can't offer this as a realistic (if limited) alternative service. We would happily defer to somebody closer or more equipped, we just haven't really seen them yet!

Businesses should align more to their scope of origin but not be haltered if their expansion is realistic. This needs to be done on a case-by-case basis. Diversification and development often happen with companies offering more services, income, and employment. If you view their portrayal being unrealistic, then report it to RPQM so it can be investigated. This rule shouldn't be blanketed. I also don't see a problem with a vetting process if a corporate business wants to add more services outside their realm if it doesn't add an extra burden to the staff.

Lmao just delete this post. You basically said, nobody but us IMEX can do towing, we demand a stop to all democratic free market competition so we can be number one. If anybody you should get sanctioned for this lmao, definetely boycotting IMEX cos of this dumb post.

Hello, Rafi Habeeb from Habeeb Transport Union here.

Since April-sh 2020 we've had recovery vehicles to tow the missing taxi's back to the depot. From an IC point of view Rafi would have learnt how to correctly load and strap vehicles. Over the two years i've done a few private recoveries for people on the side, I never advertised it as an official thing we do, but to IC friends etc because "Rafi has a tow truck."

Fast forward to Janurary 2022 I was told ICly that SD had a towing contract on offer and since for the most part the towtrucks just sit around and do nothing. I thought it would be a great way to make use of our flatbed that spends 99 percent of it's life parked up and also to offer some extra ROLEPLAY.

Anyone who's RP'd as a taxi driver knows that sometimes calls are very few and far between, I thought it would be a good way to encourage some extra RP and to offer it as a sort of career progression with in the company. Not /anyone/ in Habeeb Transport can take a towing call. Everyone who is put onto the towing contract undergoes a full background check ICly and is subject to a week of training.

So to answer one of your questions we do fully hand pick and train the people we put on the SD contract. It's NOT open to anyone in the company. We even made a little training plan, this is for select drivers to do, for people looking to "move up the ladder" etc etc. It was done primarily to give us something more to RP in the dead hours of taxing.

We even made a cute little guide:

I didn't mean any harm by it or to piss anyone off by doing this or to overstep our reach as a company as I thought it was with in the sphere of transportation.

If anyone from staff has any issues, just let me know and i'll stop towing at once. I am sorry if i've caused distress to anyone.

No need to apologize bro, you do you, dont fall for this woke BS, never apologize to these type of people.

Oookay I'm gonna hijack and lock this topic with the following:

We uphold standards across our approved businesses and if there's any concerns at all with concepts, roleplay quality or anything of that nature, open a property report and PM will investigate.

We look closely at concept changes because we don't want businesses going outside of a realistic scope, plus we have to remember this is game and cannot be 1.1.

Any issues, feel free to reach out for clarification. Report a business here: https://forum.gta.world/en/forum/1021-property-reports/

Thanks guys, remember to keep it civil.
